Black 2SS with Red Interior - Winter Chevrolet, Antioch, CA - PICS
I went to take my truck in for an oil change, and boy did I get a surprise! They just got the car into the show room the day before. Didn't get a drive, but looked it over real well.
2SS, black exterior, adrenaline red insert interior. I couldn't make myself get out of the car - those seats are some of the best seats I've ever sat in. I was extremely impressed with fit and finish of the entire car. The interior is a quality rework. Textures feel great. FINALLY, something I don't hear anyone else complain about with a manual , but FINALLY a console you can comfortably rest your arm on while shifting (although this was an automatic). I'm 5'7, 140lbs (female) - car fit me perfectly. I went back and forth a handful of times between the gen6 and the C7 next to it. Cockpit on the Camaro has a "smaller" feel to it than the corvette to me, although spatially I think it's bigger. Think it's because the roofline comes down low and lets less light in. I was a little bummed to see how high the dash gadgets come up over the steering wheel in front of driver visibility - but I could get used quickly. I haven't been a fan of adrenaline red in the Vette (just too much bright red for me), but with the black accents in the Camaro it's the one I'd choose. Exterior is interesting. Like folks are saying, from afar just looks like a Camaro. Up close you can definitely see many changes. I love the 2SS raised spoiler. I miss the flank indentations from the Gen5, aside from the hard angles above the side skirt area, the car has a rounder look to it than before. Yes, definitely smaller. To me, the exterior isn't the "knock your socks off" part of the car - it's fine, nothing wrong with it, nothing really special either, but the interior is what sets the car apart. Now the driving - that I wished I could have done, because I'm presuming the drive is what this new gen is all about! |

I'm thinking that combo with the red stripe along the side might be my winner. Thanks for the pics!

Looks sweet, love the black on black look, nice wright up, love your comments on the interior, I haven't seen one in person yet but am hoping to feel the same way about the interior, was never really happy with my 5th gens interior, personally a smaller tighter interior is more appeling to me than the cave of an interior my 5th gen had lol

I agree with your opinion. Love the interior but was under whelmed with the exterior. Still a sharp car Though, was just hoping for more.

Not much I can add now that we have so many reviews. All I can say is I'm in love. Have 100 miles on it now. It has more power than I will ever need. I did not have any problem with visibility the tech in the 2ss helps. I could not imagine backing this thing out with out the camera. My wife was afraid of driving it at first because of the visibility. She to is in love with it now. Hopefully she lets me keep it. Both my kids drove home with me. My 11 year old daughter was fine in the back seat with my son in the front. She likes the boss speakers in the back said they are like back massagers. Those of you with kids it will be fine if someone smaller is in the passenger seat. No chance they could sit behind me. My daughter was fine behind my wife in the drivers seat. Thank you again for heads up on the car.
