First, I repeat, the event status changes were not designed for the general public. Could it be changed to be more helpful? Yes. But so far it is working as designed which is to meet internal needs.
I trust you are venting when you complain the customer service is not getting builds to the dealers unless there is something about their job duties you know and I don't because I am not aware of any authority they have to affect or expedite shipping. Laborsmith |

I'm going through the dealer games now too. The dealership refuses to move off of MSRP. I wish I would've went through Becky but with a trade in, I wouldn't think it'd be possible. I hate car salesmen because they don't give a crap about any vehicle they sell. That's why Becky is a needle in a haystack because she gets us. I'm not happy with the car buying experience at all

Customer service is not just the phone support people. It is the ENTIRE PROCESS. It is the dealerships. It is the shipping team. It is the lack of info to the customer. Don't get defensive. The process is flawed. I spoke to someone at the call center. Zero info. Basically bs'd me. The chat was a bit better but not much. And the manager today was the final nail. Look around, I ain't the only one annoyed. I am allowed to be ticked off. We're allowed to be riled. I also work where it is tough for folks to lose thier job no matter how bad they suck at it. As a result, very few try hard to do a great job. Some do and I appreciate them. Same applies here I suspect. Some are awesome. However, it is the bad that leave an impression.

I need clarity and a referral to bad customer service in the context I found it made me think "Chevrolet Customer Service" not the whole of customer service.
Many dealers are uninterested in doing SRE orders for reasons I fail to understand and I sometimes think they do not view a potential SRE customer who goes to another dealership as a loss. There is a reason Chevrolet requires at least one dealer salespersotake Corvette specific training in order to use an allocation to order a Corvette. Almost 1/3rd of Chevrolet dealerships can not order a Corvette, either SRE or TRE. There are a few hundred Chevrolet dealers who have not ordered a single Corvette in all the tears the Corvette has been in production. I suspect every North American Chevrolet dealership has ordered and sold multiple Camaros over the years the Camaro has been in production. My suggestion when doing a SRE order is go to a dealership that is used to doing them and one guide will be does the dealership sell a dozen or more Corvettes every year, because a portion of those Corvette are likely SRE orders and even if not there will be at least one salesperson trained to handle them. Anybody else getting the no answer at all from their dealer? I've called a couple times over the past few days, emailed, and no response at all. I think 10 minutes once a week is not too much to ask to get an update. Chevy chat has now forsaken me, and probably most of us. Are they just shorthanded in logistics? I was told by my dealer a week ago I was past QC and getting on the train. My patience is absent today.

My dealer has been keeping me up to date. People that are still at 3800, like many of us, are in QA Hold. They are still at the plant and haven't been released to ship. They don't have an ETA on when cars will be released. It is the luck of the draw unfortunately. We can either wait for our cars or look at another that didn't get put in QA Hold. I'm hoping they aren't correct but history says 4-6 weeks when they get stuck. That would be Dec 7th - Dec 25th.

I finally got a call back from my dealer. They called, I think the Dealer Business Center yesterday, and mine is bayed in Melvindale, along with many others. They said it's waiting to get shipped, and the SRE orders may have a priority over dealer stock. I guess Melvindale is a holding area before the train? I think they said I was past QC. I do wonder if GM is stalling some of us to clear out the 5th gens. Or else it is a logistics nightmare with not enough resources. I'm just guessing and driving myself crazy.

On my end, its logistics. My car(along with at least 3 others) has been sitting at a railyard in DFW since, at least, Monday morning. I dont understand this. Im a CDL driver. People are busting their ass' to try to make a living behind a steeringwheel. How the fk are these cars just sitting there, ready to go, and there are not trucks lined up? This completely blows my mind. All I can guess is some titbag Union BS, because anyone else that drives for a living is BEGGING for loads.

Dispatch determines which Builds will make up a load. No matter how many drivers are present and ready, nobody loads until Dispatch says go.
It generally takes at least two days for Dispatch to say go. Laborsmith |

Mine was shipped via train on the 24th and is apparently sitting at Wentzville, MO plant/distro center just waiting to be shipped 10 miles down the road to the dealer..... WTF is taking so long to put on a damn truck?!?!? I see the shipping company moving other cars and trucks all day out by us.
