to Splash Guard?
or Not to Splash Guard. That is the question.
Snapped pics from Camaro SIX app. These guards look similar to the style used for the Corvette. Your opinions, pro/cons, are appreciated. |

I'm getting them when I order mine. It's a small price to pay to help protect the area right behind the tires. Tar is usually the worst culprit, but if it prevents rock chips, even better!
I wash my car at least once a week and hate when these areas get hammered after driving through road construction. Also I think these splash guards look much better than last generation's factory splash guards. They don't stick out nearly as bad.

I had it done on my two current cars, along with the bottom of the hood and part of the front bumper. I added the areas behind the tires to the estimate after the fact, if I recall it was about $100 extra. You could even do it yourself if you buy a small roll of the film. I just had it done as I was having the other work done at the same time...and to do larger areas you have to know what you are doing. But, for a small area behind a tire, you could do that for sure.

I 3-M'd my entire front and all four wheel fenders.... saved me big time when some piece of garbage rubbed his car against mine during a parellel park hit and run....

I would. When you put on wider rims and tires it will complete the 'Look'

I went the 3M route on my last car. Good protection, and couldn't even tell they were there. I will for sure be doing it again.

I forgot to order splash guards(DD in a snowy area) and was really horrified, this thread alleviates that stress.
How much of the car can you cover with this stuff? |
