50k MSRP on the Scat Pack? Must have every option available.. That's SRT8 money.

Hold on.. You said they had it listed at 50,but MSRP was 47.. What? They were trying to charge ADM on a Scat Pack?

I don't get it. You still paid what you'd pay for the Camaro, so really the story is that you like the Scat Pack more. Nothing wrong with that. Good luck!

No... the Camaro was $45,900 and the scat pack $44,000. Not only did I pay $1,900 less but I also got a better interest rate. I wasn't going to go deeper into debt for the Camaro, as much as I wanted it I just wasn't willing to pay extra as I was already over budget.

Yes the scat pack was marked UP to $50k And yes it does have every option available except sunroof.

Black Friday fully loaded 2SS's going for under 30k.
Z/28's for 50k,

I get that you were pissed, just seems like an impulse buy.

Still, that new scat pack is a pretty sweet setup, I just wish Dodge would put some engineers on that car (and the car on a diet) and get in the ring with the Camaro and Mustang.

Probably in the minority on this site, but I think I'd rather have that car over a 6th gen. Beautiful car OP.

The scat pack is probably the nicer car to be honest, and the Challenger is the last true muscle car in some senses. Overall, it's the better deal. The 6th gen Camaro has the "new" factor, but you pay for it.

It sucks that they weren't willing to give you a discount, but maybe rushing into selling the old car and jumping for a 2016 so early into production was not a great idea. There could be other factors that I'm not aware of, such as a small window to sell the old car at a higher price point or a lease that was about to end. I'm sure you didn't decide to ride a bike in the interim just for leisure and exercise.

I also might sound rude, so sorry in advance, but I am really confused when people post on these forums complaining that they just finished payments on their 5th gen and are having financing issues getting behind the wheel of a 6th. If it's that much of a struggle, why are you spending your money on a sports car? Not to judge, but it just doesn't sound like it makes much financial sense. The 5th gen is still an amazing car by all accounts, and if it's been paid off, keep it. Why force yourself to buy something you can't afford and then get hit with a high depreciation rate in the first year? Why not at least wait until 2017 to trade in the 5th gen for a used 6th gen?

I would not want to DD a Z28, and I already owned a fully loaded gen 5 definitely not an impulse buy, I had been looking and considering one for weeks. So when it fell through with the gen 6 I knew it was my next choice. I do agree it could stand to shed a few pounds but it still shits and gets

Good things come to thoses who wait...

I like the SRT's...nice looking cars.

I don't think you can compare walking into a Dodge dealer and asking for 3k off MSRP on an old model to trying to buy a brand new 6th Gen Camaro.

You'll always be looking at the 6th Gen's wondering why you didn't wait IMHO...
