I think it looks very similar to the 5th gen! Which is a damn good thing!

Please point out where the 6th gen looks like a Mustang and Genesis? (I can see a bit of Corvette influence). Mustang and Camaro only look kind of similar from a side view from the front 1/4 on back, and in the shoulders, and that is only because the Mustang moved that direction on their last gen, whereas the Camaro already looked that way to begin with and had the shoulders. But I'm not seeing where your Genesis comparisons draw in. The car is still larger than a Genesis.

As for 1LE....put a dang front splitter, and wider wheels/tires on the standard SS, and you'll have your 1LE. If you hate the base SS, I can't understand why you'd be interested in a 1LE or a ZL1 since they will share the same basic design.

All I know is, compared to my 2010, the 6th gen is exactly what I wanted the 5th gen to be...a lighter, faster, slightly smaller, better driver's car, and on those points, its hard if not impossible to argue against.

As for interior, there is no comparison between my 2010 and this 2016. But then again, the 2015 has more features and a slightly upgraded look compared to my 2010...but I definitely prefer the 6th gen.
I'm not planning on buying a 6th gen, but it is not because I think its ugly or I hate it. I would love one, but I am just happy with mine.
I hope everyone that buys a Camaro 6 will love it.
For those that are putting it down all I can say is don't buy one if you dont like the way it looks.
The 6th gen is a great car, its a evolutionary change from the 5th. Those 5th gen owners that are ragging on the 6th don't understand you cannot stand still. Improvement in design is necessary or it will go away again. I believe the 6th gen is a big improvement over the 5th, but that does not automatically make the 5th gen obsolete either.
I love Camaros, always have and always will.. All Gens 1-6 all are my favorites...

I don't remember 5th gen (yes, I said 5th gen, C5 and C6 are Corvettes. I thought any car guy knew that?) owners being so off base like this when I owned mine years back.

-- Like the comment about muscle cars not needing to handle good, really?
-- Then there was the comment how the 5th gen interior is nice. Huh? It is the worst part of the car by far, and one of the main factors why I sold mine. It's cheap, and looks like it was designed in the 70's.
-- Ok, looks are subjective. But if you hate the looks of the 6th gen, I don't see how you can like the 5th gen as they are very similar. The 6th gen just looks much more aggressive and less like an over-sized '69 Camaro.
-- Comment about the 6th gen being too small, say what? Look at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen, then look at the 5th gen...it got too big and too heavy. The 6th gen is going back to where it should be. Smaller and lighter.
Yep...6th gen. looks like a more sinewy, athletic version of the 5th gen ! Don't see how someone can love the 5th. gen Camaro and hate the 6th gen.

You dont like the C6 or C7 Corvettes at all? The C5 was good, but the new C7 looks pretty damn good.

If I just bought a new 2015, I would be trying to justify it to myself too.

I dont hate it. I said its not for me it just doesn't appeal to me. As for the comparison you just answered your own question. Its a camaro, yes. But the lines and body shape are somilar to the new rustang and Genesis. Jesus christ i didnt know voicing ones opinion was so subjective. Lol lighten up buddy.

I hope the 1LE or the ZL1 will have a slightly different appearance. Thats all i meant by it.

This thread was not meant to bash on the 6th gen. Both cars are good. I just would like to hold on to my 5th gen as long as I can.

I see lots of people stating what they like and dislike about both.
Any "hate", you're reading into it yourself.

Just sold my C5 last week.I do miss her, but it was time. I have driven the C7 several times and the inside is claustrophobic to me. Just can't get comfortable. From the looks, the Gen 6 books bigger inside. Can anyone chime in on that?
