I have a hard time believing the 11.3-4 of the stingray. Also some trapping over 120.

I suspect a tune on some of these internet hero times. If the vette times are legit this damn car might go 11.7. Loaded z51 vettes are 3450 lbs.
Camaro is top dog right now no question about it. It's more like a .5 difference between SS and GT

They might put the 2.7 or 3.5 ecoboost in the mustang. That will be a monster or a car.

I don't see an ecoboost mustang out performing the current GT, heck it would be slower. At least in stock form.

+1

Direct injection + refining the suspension will get it competitive performance wise. But if it's seeking better sales, it may not have to do anything at all.

Ford has a 3.5 ecoboost in the raptor with 450+ horsepower and if they make the car lighter it will defiantly walk over the current GT.

The ecoboost engines are a force to be wreckened with. Look at some of the 2.3s running mid 11s to low 12s with a little bit of work and it takes a lot more for a GT to get there.

11.9 is better but still way off from where this car should be with mods and DRs. If you remember the Boss was running 11s with only DRs on the car and it had 80 less hp. The ScatPacks with tune and DRs are in the 11:60s already. You also have to consider this was Lund Racing driving in very cool Fall air.

Hell the GT350s ran today with tune, and DRs only got a 12:10 last I read. Give that tune and DR combo to a A8 Camaro and watch what happens.

As they continue to argue about ringers and weight the Camaro is laying the smack down on the track. I just wish the new Camaro didn't look like it does , Give me the LT1 and the A8 in a 15 1LE and I would be great.

Hilarious watching them fail simple physics over at M6. Reminds me of this CPA at work try and tell me it was "Policy" to move funds in the bank on a particular day last week and he was going to escalate the issue. "I don't care what your personal problem is, the banks were closed on Veteran's day you moron."

While I am impressed how close the SS ET's are to the GT350's, if you buy a GT350 for drag racing you're an idiot...

With that being said, I don't see Ford having a real comeback to the SS in GT form. They really can't, or the car will perform like the GT350 which is more expensive and their halo car now.

Wow, that's impressive...because we all know those LS engines don't start reaching their potentials until they get 5k to 10k miles on them!

Amazing what can be done on a well prepped track. I can still remember the difference between racing on a IHRA track with minimal prep, to racing at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet. 66 was like glue, the traction was incredible.

Chevy hit a homerun performance wise with the 6th gen A8.

I am sure they will find a way to increase the HP, but I don't know if they will have something to really answer the SS.
