I think the worst part if all of this is the sheer incompetence and lack of caring by a majority of dealers, makes GM look bad in peoples eyes...and this is coming from a life long GM owner! Dealers are one things that still needs to change for GM.

I agree. This whole terrible logistics do make GM look really bad and they have absolutely NOTHING to do with shipping vehicles. Logistics are all up to whichever company is doing it and dealerships.

Between that and the dealers make them look bad, one part of the old GM that is still around.

When we ordered my wife's car with BeckyD at Rodgers Chevrolet, we were able to track it by rail all the way down to the GM rail offload car yard outside Columbia, SC from Michigan. It sat there for nearly a week waiting on a truck to bring it less than 2 hours away to our area drop ship dealership. I went and saw the car the day it was offloaded and asked how long it would take since we were so close and I was informed it depends on available trucks bringing loads to our area.

Hasn't worked for years. Even in its last year it was hot and miss.

For the record, GMConnects was made up of four volunteers and one dealer employee who essentially did what Becky does here. Its demise was related to two things: GM changed software (which was an overcomeable hurdle but a definite hurdle) and GM dealer objections.

Of course I would not dream of the possibility that GM dealers could influence what happened.

Impossible to have happened so I withdraw the allegation.

That way all of the preceding in this post can be weighed on the scales of what is likely balanced against what is unlikely.

He's is in 10/19, same as me. I know I hit 3800 on 10/19 and currently my car is at a railyard awaiting loading.
