New School vs. Old School (I laughed)

It's hard not to laugh at this Mag cover...

For those of you not quick to see it. Look at the drag times posted on the cover.

"Must have been a ringer. Magazine is obviously paid off."

Too funny. "Mustang: playing catch-up since 1993."

You sure do spend a lot of intellectual capital on this Mustang vs Camaro stuff. You know it is possible to be excited about the Camaro without constantly denigrating its competition. I've owned various iterations of both models and each has demonstrated strengths and weaknesses throughout the years they've gone head-to-head.

I swear there are more articles on Camaro6 about the Mustang than there are on that other site.

If the Mustang has been playing catch up since 93...why, despite sometimes having the better performing and technically superior vehicle, do many Camaro fans have such wicked inferiority complexes when it comes to the Mustang?

speedislife and titianfan/twentypoop/tooslow need to read the OP. The point was that a stock new gen Mustang is equal to a modded gen4.

Was the Gen4 modded in that article?

I could care less about the Mustang vs. Camaro argument. But I have been finding things to do during my boring lunch breaks and after the kids go to bed to keep me going on this long wait for my new car.

I agree both Mustang and Camaro have great offerings. But I still find it to be funny to see this kind of stuff. To note, this isn't an image I took, nor is it something I dug for. A fan of mine sent it to me. So I shared it.

It's a great time to be a fan of either offering.

How is showing a Z28 from the nineties is a little bit faster than a 2015 Mustang GT "denigrating its competition" ? Looks like straight up fact to me. Only Ford Fanbois would think such a thing.

BTW, the "Camaro vs Mustang" thread on the other forum is up to 120 pages.

See my comments in post #9...Freud would have a field day with all the denigrating comments about the Camaro on the other forum.

My comment was a joke and a prod (troll) at the mustang fanboys.

Gotta admit the photo and the nonsense going on over at m6g is quite funny/entertaining.

I bought the v6..... Obviously not that important to me.

It wasnt modded. For the ls1 f cars high 12's were attainable but definately not the norm. My the fastest stock time I had with my 2000 SS was a 12.95 and a 12.98 on the same day, the weather was a huge part of that. The norm for me anyways were 13.0's-13.30's. They were really quick out the box.
