There is another thread floating around, I forget which, but someone at a findnewroads location spoke to one of the designers. Apparently buyers with 2016 SS will need to order new trucklid along with the dovetail because of the center hole. They said they won't even sell the dovetail without that new lid.

Come on with the build site. I need to know what the cost of these package options. I want my car with some of these options. However, glad I'm not first because I'll order the car with the dovetail.

I honestly don't mind the wing. I do think the dovetail looks better, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth the cost of a new deck lid.

The Summit White car with those chrome rims, feels off in my opinion. But that trim pack with the black rims with red stripes or the 5 split-spoke rims.... would top it off.

That hood stripe setup is also growing on me....

I'm not a fan of "chrome" rims per se but I do like the look of this car. The offset stripe, lower graphics, grill inserts and black tail as well as the blade spoiler. This car looks HOT!

They aren't chrome, they are forged wheels that have been polished. Strong, and light too. I for one am sick of the black wheels fad as from 25' away most black wheels looks like blobs of nothing, you can't see the design. These may be a tad to "bling" for me too though, maybe more of a bright silver, or gunmetal gray would work better.

Is SEMA sort of like how mopar relates to dodge? So all these 'aftermarket' parts can be bought through GM and hence warranty won't be voided? If so, oh boy the level of customization looks great. I really love the ground effects package, look similar to 5th gen spring edition. But the colors/custom bowties/rims/etc....this customization seems vast. I love that, honestly this is very tempting car. It can reach 50's pretty soon after SEMA body kit/interior options but to me it's worth it. Buying American is reliable but not pricey like European and everything can be found that you need. That black edition one is really growing on me. Although I can't decide which spoiler I prefer.

I really hope that is not the case. If so, its a dumb design by the designers to put a hole in the trunk where an accessory spoiler won't cover it up without a new lid.

I'm not yet convinced that is the case, and I'm hoping you can just buy the spoiler. Otherwise...that is ridiculous.

Yeah...I agree for the most part, and prefer polished over chrome. Black rims can and do look nice on a lot of cars, and I think they look great on a lot of these 2016 Camaros, but they aren't for me. Down the road when I swap out my stock rims, it will be for something that is either polished, painted silver shine (like the stock 5 spokes I'm getting) or gun-metal grey.

SEMA is the huge show that is going on in Vegas now, that I thought every car guy knew about.

For initial deliveries, lower inventory right now, and ramping up production and also new workers on the line figuring new stuff out, it makes perfect sense, for now. Make it easy, less changes in configurations at this time, less quality issues.

That Summit White SS has me feeling funny in the jiggly bits. Drop the stripe package and powdercoat the wheels gunmetal and it'd be perfect.
