That looks like a pretty good quality camera. I know that I've driven some cars in the past where the image quality is absolutely terrible.

I figured it would be the same as the 15's but we haven't seen images to confirm

This will be my first rear view camera. Along with the rear cross traffic alert (with the ltg. & convenience package) so when your backing out of a parking space you don't get T-Boned from an on-coming car.
This is so worth it.

Backup cameras are nice, especially in an 8"screen. Kind of like another rearview mirror. I have one on my SRX, have had them on other vehicles as well, they are worth it.

Yeah, and it will definitely help with any visibility issues.
From the looks of it, the resolution is very crisp and clear. I've seen some awful rearview cameras on other car makers. Can't see anything because its so choppy.

Some fancy super cars allow the driver to use the rear view camera during driving to help with rear visibility. I wonder if the Camaro has that feature. Real time rear view mirror!!

Probably not from the factory, but there are devices to bypass those cameras and screens. When I have my Travese a few years back with the 7" screen with DVD player and camera, I purchased an aftermarket device that allowed video playback while driving on the screen, navigation inputs while driving, along with rear camera visible while driving, something like $80...not sure how they will work with the new My Link screens, that one was super easy to install too.

I believe you have to get the ZN2 Convenience and Lighting Package package on the 2LT to get it. This vehicle doesn't have that apparently
