My guess would be that since both are mounted in the same spot behind the same trim panel piece, they would both have one large lens covering the entire cluster.

I would also think the SS cluster would go up to 200mph.

Yes, first thing I noticed before even looking at red line. Kind of reminds me of the way ford does the stang. Kind of looks budget build to me?

Going through my embarrassingly extensive library of G6 photos, here's the best image I could find to resolve this. It's not definitive, but you can see a reflection on the speedo at about 2 o'clock which extends beyond the border of the dial, indicating that there is likely a plastic overlay covering the whole gauge cluster.

A caveat: (IIRC) this photo is not from an SS, even though it shows the bigger LCD screen that the SS gets. Still, it seems unlikely that the SS would use exactly the same gauge cluster layout and yet have different covering(s) on the gauges.

^^^^^ The above pic looks like a 2LT with ZN2. Definitely not a SS since it does not have the SS badge on the steering wheel.
Happy to finally see the configurable display on 2LT!!

1LT - Audio system, Chevrolet MyLink Radio with 7" diagonal color touch-screen, AM/FM stereo with seek-and-scan and digital clock, includes Bluetooth streaming audio for music and select phones; featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability for compatible phone

2LT - Audio system, Chevrolet MyLink Radio with 8" diagonal color touch-screen, AM/FM stereo with seek-and-scan and digital clock, includes Bluetooth streaming audio for music and select phones; voice-activated technology for radio and phone; featuring Apple CarPlay capability for compatible phone
Those are the radio options not the cluster options.

1LT and 2LT come standard with:

UDD Driver Information Center, color display.
UDD is the DIC pictured at the top of the page.

1SS and 2SS come standard with:

UHS Driver Information Center, enhanced, 8" diagonal multi-color re-configurable display.
2LT can option up to the UHS cluster. It is included and only part of:
Quote:
ZN2 Convenience and Lighting Package, includes (A45) Memory Package, (K4C) wireless charging for devices, (UVD) heated steering wheel, (UHS) multi-color Driver Information Center, (UV6) Head-Up Display, (UD7) Rear Park Assist, (UFG) Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, (UKC) Side Blind Zone Alert with Lane Change Alert, (DD1) outside heated power-adjustable and driver-side auto-dimming, body-color mirrors, (C70) interior spectrum lighting, (B7G) illuminated sill plates and aluminum accents on door trim and shifter cap.

I haven't read anything about this but I wonder if we will be able to use different cluster setups or not. It isn't a make it or break it deal but just curiosity... What I mean by different cluster is like the c7, cluster changes for each "mode" you select and since we do get the mode selection.... Maybe?

Another thing is if the infotainment system has a "secret" compartment behind it or not. Doesn't look like it does. Which is a little bit of a shame but, I can use my normal holster instead of that "secret" compartment like I already do.

If you mean does the center screen change based on Drive Mode selected, yes. Some of the reveal pics showed the different displays settings. Not sure if we will get the C7 Track Mode bar graph display though.

And no hidden compartment like the C7.

No compartment behind the screen, which it did have one, would have been a perfect place for the wireless phone charging pad.

I think there is 4 separate screens to change from, not sure if you change within those 4 screens though.

SS Gauge Cluster: (Yes, it goes to 200 and not 160 like the V6)

I bought one already but is it just me the speedo and tach look cheap? Center screen is dope. Maybe that is what makes the dials look cheesy or maybe they should be in a corolla non s model.

Is the gauge cluster not backlit during the day?

How does the ABL look?
