Badass wheels?is that what you want? You can get badassness for 1/100 the price.fake carbon fiber covers.and they look just like the original.lol
But honestly i would never spend over 6k for wheels however good or badass they look.it just doesn't worth it.thats my opinion

I was talking about the CC Brakes, and everyone's budget is different. That's why there are options. $6k would be a bargain for CC Brakes. And I hope there is Zero FAKE carbon on this car. I think your looking for a different car.

I'm not sure that 640-650 hp is going to be enough in a ZL1. What is the ZL1? Originally it was meant to compete in NHRA. I love my ZL1 but this car is outgunned by the Mustang and the Challenger in a straight line. Yes it's great on the road course and I really enjoy the all around performance of the car. But for me HP sells. I think the next ZL1 needs to make a statement, at least for me it does.

I understand that you want the ZL1 to compete in straight line performance.

If the 6 gen ZL1 does so with 650...then is that good enough? Or if Dodge comes out with a 1000 HP car that weighs 13,000 lbs, you'd go for that cuz it has 1000 HP?

I'm just trying to fully understand the "HP sells" aspect.

I'm still holding hope the put the 2.3 blower on the Z06 to fix the over heating and bump the HP, in turn bumming the ZL1. I'm prob dreaming though.

I understand that the math could make this work with 650 hp in a lower mass car. I'm just saying that it needs to be a statement car, for me, and 700+ would be a statement that might entice me.

Chasing big numbers gets very old, very fast.

Dodge set a high bar with 707 hp...but it's because it needed that power to haul around the elderly and heavy LX/LC platform cars.

650HP will do more at 3,950lbs or even 4,000 than 707 will do at 4,450.

My thoughts exactly let the Z come in just under in hp and embarrass them with less and still focus on the all around better car.

All challengers are boats, yeah the hellcat is a fast boat but is still a boat. My basic idea/estimation of what the new ZL1 will be:

- Much lighter than gen 5 ZL1 (thank you alpha platform)
- LT4 (ATS-V might be an option but with LT1 producing better numbers without boost, plus LT1 is on the SS... thus I'd say unlikely)
- 600hp + (combined with a less weight from gen5 it will be a beast, power to weight ftw)

It looks like the LT4 is still having heat issues in the Caddy:

Let's hope it's not the same for the ZL1...

We will see. I'm going to wait this one out and decide after all of the chips have been laid down. In the meantime I will continue to enjoy my 630ish hp slightly heavy 5th Gen.
