Chevy Introduces Camaro Accessories, Performance Parts
Broad range of components designed to enhance personalization and driving fun DETROIT – As the all-new Gen Six Camaro rolls into showrooms this fall, Chevrolet is matching its introduction with accessories and performance parts that enable greater personalization and driving fun. From performance air intake and exhaust systems, to lowering kits, ground-effects packages, spoilers and even performance Brembo® brake systems, the lineup is designed to offer customers choices for distinguishing their new Camaros on the street and making the most of the cars’ performance capabilities. “These accessories and parts were designed, engineered and tested by our Camaro team, assuring proper fit and integration - and they are backed by Chevrolet,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. The roster of 2016 Camaro performance parts includes:
These performance parts complement a full line of Camaro accessories including wheels, exterior and interior enhancements and graphics packages. Highlights include:
Customers can also select alternate-finish versions of existing features such as smoked taillamp lenses and blacked-out or LED-illuminated bowtie emblems. Customers can view many of the accessories on the new Camaro using the online Camaro Visualizer. “There’s almost no limit to the performance and personalization possibilities with the 2016 Camaro,” said Campbell. |

Nice! I particularly like you can get the brake upgrades for all trims.

Yeah only see the air intake as an option for me. Wonder if they will retune the car for it?
The other performance items will be really cool for the people who track their cars. I can see the lowering kit with performance exhaust and 6 piston brake calipers better rotors. I do not know the rules if you are tracking for competition. Although if you can get them as factory options are they still considered stock? |

Aftermarket parts don't automatically void warranties. It gets old seeing that. A manufacturer has to prove the aftermarket part caused the failure. Hard to do with an intake or muffler. There are federal laws that protect you on this.

Seem like pretty tame accessories so far....I wouldn't worry about any warranty with those components, anyhow....They're at least getting the "idea" somewhat....

I think just a quick comment and run! LOL I have no reason to believe any of the parts would void warranty as they are not very aggressive in the first place. 6 Piston brakes are aggressive but not a warranty breaker. If it was headers back to tail pipe and no cats maybe.

For some, modding creates more headaches than it's worth. It gets old threatening legal action because your dealer will not honor your warranty after changing an intake or replacing stock speakers. I've had both happen, with different dealers and different car brands. |
