Android Auto Confirmed

Chevy tweeted a link out confirming the Camaro (and other 16 models) will get an Android Auto update through dealers in March.

Really want the android auto as ASAP! I use a lot of google for business be bad ass to be able to do some in the car. Might be able to leave work a little early and do some communications on the way home.

Edit: Forgot about this. Compatible apps need to be downloaded to a phone before using. There is also restrictions to what you can use. It will not be like you see your cell phone screen on the Mylink screen. I think this is something chevrolet should adopt as it will make the MyLink unit be able to dumb down a lot. Could even save millions for chevrolet since they are not in the software business. Let the software people do your work for you. Build awesome vehicles!

I have also read that you can use google maps from your phone. No reason to buy navigation any more if you have good cell phone coverage.

Yes I did, but we hacked the old Mylink, think we can do this too.

When I talked to AL about this back at CF6 it was said that there 3 years away, software as still in the works and the phone manufacture where still working on it.

I will disagree that it is 3 years away to have your phone mirrored on your radio. Check out the pioneer app radio mixed withthe ar liberator app. I use to be able to play candy crush on my touchscreen while stuck in traffic.

I can mirror my phone on my TV using a $90.00 blu-ray player. Should be easy to do in a car.

See the above post for why automakers do not want to simply mirror a phone on the center display
