Those little vent aren't doing anything what three radiators aren't enough to keep the engine cool. I know the LT1 is having cooling issues the vet guys are having it to.

People didn't really take to loving the c6 unitl it came with the ls3 and ls7. A great engine can change everything. The lt1 is to the ls3 that the ls3 was to the ls2. And it's in a much lighter chassis. Even the ls3 would feel like a monster in the new chassis.

They made a track car that 90% of the buyers can careless about and making us pay for it. Once again it's a nice car inside very nice I wish the change would have been that dramatic on the outside to get more people to trade in.
No one is forcing you to trade your car in for a new Camaro. All you do in every thread is bash the 6th gen, we get it you don't think much of it that's your opinion and that's fine, but there are people obviously here that love the new car and that seems to bug you enough to criticize them every chance you get, and its getting old.

They should get a Z06 rather than a Z51 if they don't want heating issues. The point is, any level of heat extraction beats no extraction at all.

The vents aren't just for heat extraction, they allow air trapped in the engine bay to escape reducing front end lift at high speed.... they are 100% functional

Not sure about the lift part. Looking at my Corvette and all of its design for heat extraction and down force, I am not sure that anyone will be driving a Camaro fast enough for the hood vents to be super effective in down force. Although, every little bit does count. They are mainly for heat extraction for people who are choosing to autocross, do weekend track days, and things such as that.

Pretty sure it is dual function in releasing the air trapped in the engine bay and cooling. The air trapped in the engine bay creates lift.

on autobahn where fast driving is possible these vents are welcome but not necessary if cooling system is well dimensioned. Fordīs Euro Mustang comes without itīs vents due to passenger safety regulations i heard (perhaps they were to close in the front) but this EU version comes always with PP which includes better cooling too ?
I heard some C7 went hot after 30min. fast autobahn driving. i search for the link.

Not bashing just telling it how it is and all I see is a bunch of people loving a car that they haven't even seen In person or sat in it or driven it and then order one. I bet everyone will be bitching about something after they get one. I sorry didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Oh how we forget history.

Yes, when deliveries start, the honeymoon will wear off and the bitching willlllll start. Go back and look at the Gen5 launch for the quality problems, etc.

The Gen6 improves so much right out of the box and is a better car in almost every way (smaller, see I'm bitching now) so this will be much minimized........................but it's going to happen. God forbid there is ever a magazine review that pics the Mustang.

I agree with ilirg. Perhaps you should join the Mustang forum. As I said on this forum before, NO car is perfect. Humans/robots made them. People are excited about Christmas. They don't want to know there isn't any Santa Claus.
