True but the 1LE is just an options package. It's not like it's an entirely new model. With the parts bin content of the 5th gen 1LE, I'm sure the development costs were relatively low. The same can be done for the 6th gen.

Not here to argue business models. My point is that GM makes the majority of the money from the base SS and LT sales with added options. Not from ZL1s or Z/28s. They could not stay in business based on those vehicles alone. The base model sales subsidize the performance models. So keep the performance models hardcore knowing you will only sell a small amount of them. Softening them to appeal to a wider audience will do very little to the bottom line.

With that said, lets get back to the presumed 1LE.

Is it just me or does this thing sound way better than an SS?

If true, can we say 1LE? I would think 1LE and SS sound same.

edit: i take it back, after going back and listening the the LT1 SS, seems it too sounds pretty beastly.

take that first dot out and see if just pasting that in your browser works - if not restart your computer or device.

I have watched both videos several times and cannot begin to guess which car is which. The car marked as "ZL1 Video" has a three post pedestal spoiler, much larger lower grill opening and tag ending in 780. The car marked as "1LE Video" has an integral spoiler, smaller lower grill opening and tag ending in 660. What other differences do you guys and gals see?

the hood appears to be an ss hood as does the front bumper. Addition of 6 piston calipers on the "ss" car matches the "z" cars.

The 1LE has the SS fascia and hood with either a blade type or dovetail spoiler.

The ZL1 has an all new fascia, hood extractor and rocker panels with the 3 post wing.

Hello Guys, Thanks for posting. It was great to see all those Camaro's driving on the Nurburgring. Who expect that?
I have filmed also a red one, and that one looks so fantastic. What is the name of that Camaro? Also new one?
