The thing that has to be remembered here is the 200lbs is the minimum loss. On the V6 and 4 cylinder, the weight loss is closer to 300lbs. Chevy was quoted as saying to Autoblog that the loss is closer to 300lbs on the V6.
Also, remember comparing a '16 1SS to a '16 GT is not going to be apples to apples. Lots of stuff that is on the 1SS is not on the GT without upgrades/packages. Lastly, a lot of savings come from things like no spare tire and moves like that. So remember if you start loading up your car with options it's going to weighing a lot more. |
