What brand oil will be factory fill for the SS LT1?
I know the LT1 in the Corvette Stingray comes with Mobil 1, will the 2016 SS come with it also. I know GM is moving a lot their vehicles to their on Dexos synthetic blend oil, which is over priced and hopefully not being used for the SS.

I thought GM was in love with Mobil 1.. That's even what came in the 05 GTO I owned. My brother's SRX as well I believe.
I'm going to say it'll come with Mobil 1. |

Demos is not really over priced for a semi synthetic. When it the Dexos standard (not a brand) came out several Mobil 1 products didn't meet it. And a Dexos oil change at my Chevy dealer pretty reasonable.

Factory fill will either be acdelco dexos approved or Mobil 1.
If you don't like either, just make sure you bring in an oil that's meets the specifications. I'd bring in Amsoil and make them use it, haha. Last edited by Davy_Baby9; 09-03-2015 at 10:23 PM. |

Once more time, Dexos is NOT a specific brand of oil, it is simply an oil specification GM has created. MANY different oils meet Dexos specs, not just Mobil 1.

On the corvette only the Z-51 package and the Z06 come with Mobil 1 the base stingray gets semi synthetic
