So, I have several reasons, not just one.

I agree...one of the ways the V8 engine continues to stick around is the offset of smaller displaced engines that achieve higher gas mileage.

No trouble selling the SS? maybe not right off the bat as the idiots who don't know when a deal is bad will order it anyway. But long term they are going to get killed on the SS pricing. IMO.

I agree. Not with calling people idiots who buy something they want and don't care what it costs. It's their money. But I do agree that the Mustang GT is going to kill the SS in sales. Sports car/ camaro aficionados asidethe average Joe is going to see these prices on the SS and say NOPE!

It won't be hard at all to get an SS IMO.

It's been my experience that there is always a dealer willing to deal to move cars. You just might have to travel to find them. I would absolutely fly out to see Becky D in MI and drive my car home to Boston if she gave me the best deal.

I agree, if I save enough I am willing to pay for shipping even. And yes maybe idiots is the wrong word. Just mean they are blindly spending money without really looking to see if they are getting a good deal or getting, in a way, ripped off.

Buying a new car in general is probably not the wisest move financially, so one could say the same thing about the "idiots" choosing to wait a few more months to still buy the new car after the dust settles and demand slows so that dealers may deal. However, many choosing to order now, will still be paying less than MSRP. Those ordering now are potentially paying more, but buying the luxury to drive some of the first camaros of the 2016 model year and getting to do it now rather than buying a '16 just before the '17s come out. The arguement could be made about so many things...new TVs, new iPads, the latest and greatest smart phone.

Discount off MSRP

Most medium and large Chevy dealers will get allocations for 2016 Camaros. All can now place orders. Good for you that you have $15-20k to put down. However, it only helps you not the dealer. It's all cash to them. Don't let the dealer push you around. If he/she won't work with you, don't be afraid to walk. MSRP is list price. Get them to reduce the price off list by $1k to $1.5k. All they can say is no. But you have to ask. They're lots of Chevy dealers around. Remind them of that fact.
