That's quite an option list there. What options are on that $35k w/tax GT?

Price works for me!

My 2SS build comes to $46,875 MSRP and includes navigation, automatic transmission, dual mode exhaust and magnetic ride control. That is only $3780 more than a 2015 2SS priced at $43,095 with options!

I'm looking forward to the test drive.

This car is going to cost me ~$38.5k... Am I the only one who thinks that GM has got their pricing wrong somehow..

I have waited 3 years to buy a camaro and now when I can afford it.. they come out with this ridiculous pricing ...I am just very sad..
If you like Camaros and have waited 3 years you obviously like the Gen5. Want a deal? Wait 1 more month when they clear inventory for cheap and get your Gen5.

Honestly the price isn't that much more. I paid 30K for a 1LT with RS package in 2013. The 2016 2LT comes with more and your options line up with current 5the Gen pricing.

Your expectations are unrealistic.

It's going to be awhile. The 2016 model year cars will be a low production through this year as they ramp up to demand. You will see 6 cylinder cars on lots maybe toward the end of this year, but V8's will be hard to come by until Spring. Most dealers who order cars are going to load them up and allocation will be hard to get. As you can already see, most dealer did not get allocation.

If I can't get the same discounts on a 2SS you better damn well believe I deserve to be treated like a BMW owner.
A base 435i MSRP is $48k and comes with few of the things that are standard on a 2SS. Not to mention it is slower and doesn't handle as well. So don't know what you are planning on buying from BMW with better performance and is cheaper than a 6th gen SS. My 328i feels like a stripper from 2010 compared to the options the 2SS has now. And it's only 2 years old and stickered for $50k. The 2SS is a hell of a lot of car for the money, but I understand not everyone wants all it includes....including me.

I'm sure better pricing can be negotiatied a few months down the road. Not immediately after they hit the showroom floors. If you're patient and can wait till mid-2016 you can definitely find a good deal

Agreed, but I think the better question is who are the dummies paying MSRP for a car? It's one thing when it's the first of a new gen when demand and allocation are both hot, quite another to pay it a year or two after.

Exactly!! It's a "suggested" retail price for a reason. These dealers know some customers are smart enough to not pay MSRP. With invoice pricing being so transparent now most dealers use that as a starting point for negotiating.

Damn, $4000 taxes...just wow! Only 3% new car sales tax here in NC! That is just as bad as it was up north 10 years ago when I used to live up there. So glad I live where I live.

Thanks for the pricing info, Becky!

2SS: 42,295
NPP: 895
IO6: 495
F55: 1,695
-------------------------
Total: $45,380

Not as close to Mustang price as I thought it would be, but not too bad, I think.
