Because Fenwick was not speaking highly of the 5th Gen, it certainly wasn't a "praise" of the 5th Gen ...... so yeah kinda of bad mouthing our current Generation, yes .....

Does he work for GM ??? I'm sure they would love to see that comment ....

If it doesn't weigh 200lbs less and out run the gt/scatpack with that high of a price then Chevy failed horribly imo. But I'm a nobody so....

I had all the GM cars in sixties Camaro SS 69 Chevelle SS 396, GTO Judge & loved them. I got away from Chevy in 73 to Ford trucks until I got a Mustang GT I love my 2014 GT w/trackpack & Boss equipment on it & Trackey it's getting a upgrade tune at Taska Ford which will give me 440 hp with quad exhaust, still under warranty with upgrade from Ford Racing. I drove a SS before I bought the new Mustang & wasn't happy with handling or interior, but now I guess they offer better handling pkgs. The 6.2 does make some good hp too. If I get another new car it won't be Mustang because, I don't want independent rearend & they're ugly now,so Z28 or 2SS would be my choice.

A lie is a knowing, deliberately false statement

They know how much a 5th gen weighs
They know how much a 6th gen weighs

So if they say the 6th gen weighs XXX less & it isn't, I can't see how it would be anything other than a lie.

I'd also like to see the full quotes (ie, context) where GM said, or implied, that pricing would be matching the Mustang. Because if it included wording like 'comparably equipped' or similar, then the reference point should not be a bare bones, no option GT.

No, he is a moderator on another car forum (GM Inside News) but they don't have any affiliation with GM. I'm not entirely sure what he does for a living down in Florida (moderating rarely pays much ... if anything), but I don't think it has anything to do with GM. He is merely an enthusiast just like everyone else (well ... maybe not just like everyone else).

As for his points ... stating facts isn't the same as bad mouthing. Is the 6th gen more powerful than the 5th? Yes. Is it better equipped? Yes. Is the 5th gen overweight? Just about everyone agrees that it is. In fact, that has been one of the 2 biggest complaints about the car for the last 7 years (the other being its visibility), so its not exactly a ground breaking revelation.

Now, did he ever say that it was a bad car? No. Just that the 6th gen is better in several ways, hence the price increase.

I wish I worked for GM. There'd be a lot of changes going on if I was in any type of executive position.

State agricultural inspector for Grade A dairy facilities.

Actually I worked for GM for about an hour once, they paid me $100 to sit on a focus group.
