Mid-Cycle Enhancement. New front fascia tweaks, same ones as VF Series II Commodore.
And I believe so, Zeta was never engineered for the LT-series engines so it may just soldier on with the LS3 unless Holden does it for ****s and giggles since they're about done. I know Commodore is finally ditching the old 6.0L V8.

It's to bad it won't carry on with a lt1. Chevy was to bland on the looks soft on power and high on price for the mass to want this car. I'd love to have one but I'm part of a small group.

I'm sure someone will eventually LS swap an ATS.

There is no way GM will build such an ATS. They built the ATS-V to fill the performance niche, and went with a V6 to keep it distinct from the CTS-V.

I think they did this so as to not detract too much attention from the Cadillac equivalents...

Chevy SS is great car from every way I look at it except for the front.it looks weak an says kia :(.its a great car wish if we could have it for another two years. If I was in early 40s and I had 2 teenage boys like my father I would definitely get a manual SS for sure.lol

Owning SSes for 50 Years
|
I had the huge pleasure of driving a used Chevy SS with only 3500 miles on it for 4 days last week. It had both options, the moon roof and full sized spare. Everything else was included and that's a lot. Can't think of anything desirable that it didn't have. We thought hard about buying it, but the price was still huge for me at $40k and I couldn't think of trading my GS for it. I've had two 5th gens and can tell you the SS felt quicker than both the LS3 and L99 I had. Motor Trend tested it running a 12.9 @ 110 which is pretty decent. A few bolt-ons and you could do a job on most Mustang GTs. That would be too much fun since most of them would think it were an Impala or a Malibu. Hendrick Chevrolet in Atlanta was selling six of them at the end of last year for $37K and I tried to buy one but ended up with my GS instead (yeah, break my heart).
So now I'm waiting to test the 2016 Camaro which is going to be an awesome car and I think you will be able to get a 1SS 8A for $37K or less (my guess). Holden will discontinue building cars like the SS in 2017.
