That's exactly my experience. My 2012 Camaro SS with Bizzaks got me home with 4-6 inches of fresh snow on the ground. I got right up my driveway while the wife slid around going up it in 4wd in our suburban with M&S tires.

So yeah my 45 pound hundred charger has never seen snow but here's the thing I used to drive all kind of fast cars in the snow back in the eighties rear wheel drive and it never bothered me. Yeah maybe in like two seaters I lost it a couple of times but that was a drivers mistake.

I've been thinking a lot about this over the last couple of years the executives at work with their high in euro cars drive them all year around I guess they don't even worry about the paint I think when I get my SS I might drive it all year around and maybe sell my beater truck and take that money and maybe get a lowering kit or something

Because all season tires aren't very good for winter driving anyways. They are not recommended for anything less than a few degrees above freezing or frequent use in snow/slush. So for the most part, it doesn't matter whether you've got 'summer' or 'all-season' tires ... you should still switch to winter tires for the winter.

You obviously are under 30 and did not grow up in snowbelt areas.

I grew up and live in Cleveland. Until the late 1980s the vast majority of cars were rear wheel drive. My first car was a 1985 Buick Regal Limited with the 305. My stepdad bought it brand new in '85 and gave it to me for my 20th birthday in 1997. I used it for 3 winters. Never had a problem.

Don't forget, old RWD cars had at best a 60/40 weight split. The Camaro has a near 50/50 balance - that extra weight to the rear alone increases traction. Add IRS, ABS, stability control.... There's no problems with driving an SS in the snow with a good set of Blizzaks and common sense.

I could drive in that, a lot of good drivers could. Some people grew up in the 80s and lived in the north east, that was harder then because a lot of the cars from the 70's and 60's that we learned on are RWD and did not have stability control like you do now.

Does not sound like something you should try. Also you are talking about a very limited amount of days that snow is on the ground and they now have these machines called plows that clean the streets of most snow and just leave a little slush. You should come see the snow its very pretty but please let someone drive you here.

I'm shocked how many people drive these cars in the snow. I live in Chicago and I would never put my car thru all that salt. The rust and scratches you get in the winter and the added wear and tear v6 maybe v8 never. Buy a 1,000 better that's what I drive 96 thunderbird v8 rear wheel drive never been stuck once so I know it can be done but why.

I'm reminded of some advice about communicating via the internet thats older than the internet itself:
"Avoid sarcasm and facetious remarks.

Without the voice inflection and body language of personal
communication these are easily misinterpreted. "
I don't always follow it myself, but it is good advice.

Had Continental DWS for the winter. Zero problems in even pretty bad snow days. Never a concern or an issue.

And I've driven Summer Only tires in snow. There is a HUGE difference between Summer and All Seasons. Been there and done that.

They put snow mode so adamZ can get his car in his garage without spinning tires for 3 minutes.

Anyone remember that video lol

I drove my 2014 1LT all last winter and will be driving the Gen6 as well. Yes, I have all-season tires and the car was fine in up to 6" of snow. Remember one night driving home from work it had snowed, been plowed, iced, snowed again to the point where the roads just were snow covered by a couple inches. I'm not going to buy another car for the winter in Jersey.

Anyway, I've also lived here my whole life and my first car was a Camaro, then a Mustang GT, Trans Am, Corvette, the only FWD car I've had was an Acura for a short time. Drove them all winter long. It's all in your skills (to a point) and knowing the limits and how the car drives so I'm grateful for a snow/ice option.
