Chevy makes too many Camaros for that to be a major concern. And, unlike Corvette, all Chevrolet dealers will get allocations. Not widely known, but almost one third of their dealerships are not allowed to order a Corvette but all 3100+ Chevy dealers are allowed to order Camaros.

Wow, that'll be a nice build. That won't be cheap.

Brake upgrade, wheel upgrade, magnetic ride control, performance exhaust, navigation and auto trans.

Basically that is the rumor date on when allocation might go out and they will start accepting our Work Bench orders.

It however does not mean that is when production would start.

Why aren't certain dealers allowed to order a Corvette?

Currently, a dealer has to have a Corvette trained tech and salesperson on staff and have bought certain Corvette specific tools. The introduction of the C7 added the Corvette trained salesperson to the list of requirements. The introduction of the C6 had the original trained tech and specific tools requirements.

This was not as much a hardship as one might imagine. Before the C6 approximately 1/3 of Chevrolet's dealers ordered less than ONE Corvette a year including a few hundred who had never ordered a Corvette since its 1953 introduction.

Before the 2005 model year every Chevrolet dealer received at least one Corvette allocation every model year. Obviously, many rarely used it.

He should start another thread. "Guess my price"

This is the second order form I see so far, I've noticed he too did not go with the cooled seats? Is this a personal choice, or am I not seeing it on the paper, or did that feature disappear from the 2016?

According to the order guide, ventilated seats are standard on 2SS trim. But, I haven't seen an RPO code displayed on order sheets, either - including mine.

My dealership said the ventilated seats are part of the 2ss package, just not written in the order with the heated seats

In talking to the dealers on the LPO equipment, especially the wheels. They are going to be $$$. I was going to order the 56F option but they estimated it would be about $3k for that option. This was based off the Vette black with red trim being a $5k LPO upgrade.

Food for thought.

That is just crazy! I ordered the 56W wheels, the bright silver split spoke, there is no way that those wheels are going to be a few thousand dollars, I am thinking a few hundred at the most, definitely less than $1K.

I also ordered the 56W. I think those will just replace the stock ones. I figured 400 - 600 max.
