It depends on 3 things.
1.age
2.budget
3.driving style
if you are a young driver with a low budget and all you do with a car is driving it under the speed limit smoothly then go with the turbo for better fuel economy

but if you have a thicker wallet and you "wanna drive like you stole it"then go with the v6

hes not asking for financial advice....don't worry about his 401k and stock options. He asked whether he should get a 4 or 6 cylinder. so answer that question....

basically I think it comes down to whether you want to mod it or not. I think the 4 would be pretty cool in that sense. you could slap a nice big front mount on it, bigger turbo, turn up the boost and embarrass some people. but if youre just getting it because you enjoy the styling of it, id go with the 6. Granted you can mod the 6 too. but I think the 4 will respond better to them.

I will say that im totally against having a 4 cylinder in this car but since there's nothing I can do about that ill just need to embrace the fact that its coming.

itll only be a matter of time before 4 cylinder Camaros will be doing the same thing as this one.

That's what I don't like when people ask these type of questions. It's always a armchair financial advisors here

Or replies that only complain about others.....

Do you want good advice? Or do you just want strangers to blow feel-good smoke up your @ss? I'll take the good advice. Every. Time.
Financial advice may actually help the OP, depending on what that advice is, and if it's heeded.

The OP's question is basically an emotional one, but some older folks see it as a logical problem.

He (and his insurance agent) made a mistake the first time around, was mis-quoted on his insurance rate. Now he is assuming his pay will cover the purchase of the car. He is probably correct..... probably. What if it doesn't?

Considering the OP, do you really think it's a bad thing to attempt to inject some good financial advice?

When I was 25, my friend would tell me what I wanted to hear......My dad would tell me what I NEEDED to hear.

I'm not the OP's dad, but if he's going to solicit advice, and if I'm in the mood to give it... I'm going to try to make it good advice, even if it isn't what he wants to hear.
