There is a difference between teasing or sarcasm or saying "you shoulda gotta V8", and what was going on over there. Not even in the same category.

Yeah, all I can find is the GTPP vs. SS 1LE. You got anything with the base GT and SS models. I'm interested.

I just posted on the m6G forums, addressing "the pill" on a post of his where he's arguing with a Camaro owner. I basically stated that the fanboys on BOTH sides are ridiculous, and thanked those that give praise to all makes/models when it's due.

I'm sure he's already hit me back. People, please don't play his game. He may end up being right about the weights - the C6 may NOT make the claimed weights. But that's for the future to tell.

No. Hate is an awfully strong word. Their versus section is filled with utter garbage. It's really not any kind of accomplishment. Not being banned from the site when calling their resident idiot out on bullshit would be an accomplishment. He does personal attacks on a daily basis, but anyone else not waving the Ford flag says something remotely personal and they get banned.

Its funny since i actuallly considered a 2015 as well.

It was more of a blanket statement than anything, specifically speaking to the 1LE / GTPP comparison.

I tried looking for SS / GT comparisons just now and I couldn't find any directly.

The new mustang definitely does not beat the old camaro across the board, at least going by 1/4 ET and 0-60, both of which I've seen reported as 4.5 and 13.0 (I know owners run faster times). As far as track comparisons, it's hard to say unless they're done on the same day at the same track with the same driver (which hasn't happened, it seems - only with the 1LE). The mustang certainly brakes much better than the outgoing SS, so that's something.

I'd be interested to read anything you can find on the new mustang far outperforming the 5th gen (not just by a tenth here or there).

How can you make such a sweeping generalization about a forum based on one member? He's the very definition of a vocal minority giving an entire community a bad image. Do you really see members on M6G backing his opinion up? And if you do, honestly, how often does it happen? Almost never. He's either talking to himself or waiting for someone (who has spare time to waste) to call him on his shit.

Don't be ashamed because of "us guys." There's nothing about us to be ashamed of, and the notion of that statement is insulting anyway. Consider feeling pity or frustration that there are people as delusional as him with a mouse and keyboard that can go all loud-speaker on a public forum.

He's delusional, which isn't a bannable offense. If he made more true personal attacks, he'd be banned. I think he somehow grasps these rules and plays around them.

The poor guy got so harassed, he ended up trading it in for a 5.0. Why not just let the guy be happy with what he bought? I think the straw that broke the camel's back was when he went to a Mustang event, and folks harrased him in person about having a four banger. It's bad enough getting trolled on an internet forum, but when Mustang owners are trolling other Mustang owners in person at a Mustang event... Well, let's just say, I am glad to be around you guys in the Camaro community.
I've hung out with that guy in person back when he had his EB. I think you're looking way too far into the harassment thing; he was light-hearted about it all when I pried into it. After talking about his car (base auto EB), he said it did the job but he wasn't completely psyched about it. He clearly wanted a V8 and a manual, and I'm sure that had way more of a factor in the switch than any kind of bullying. Plus he hardly took a financial hit, which is remarkable.

ThePill 101:

1) Throw out several possible outcomes, claim you have inside knowledge or expertise in each area...but don't throw them out all at once. Sprinkling them over time, across different threads. When one of them is right, CLAIM YOUR SUPERIOURITY (by the way, I've seen him say he feels the SS weight could be anywhere from under 3,700 pounds, to 3,850 pounds....base SS weight)

2) Word everything in such a way, and throw out so many supporting facts (aka...things he made, up, or mislead) that he actually does sound like an expert and very knowledgeable....people will believe. Post huge threads about details nobody should ever care about.

3) When someone calls you out on your BS, and you have no where to turn, just keep chugging along by not responding and going to a new topic, or respond, but deflect the discussion to a new topic which likely has no real bearing on the BS you've been called out on.

Anyways...sorry that bit of a de-rail....back on topic.
To beat a troll, you must become a troll

Neutral - thanks for being that way. This is why I gave kudos to the mustang folks that are reasonable. What do you drive?

I really appreciate your efforts, but the best thing to do with him is ignore him entirely. He posts less and less when people ignore his monologues.

On the other hand, his posting increases exponentially at the mere whiff of opposition. He will always try to get the last word in... there's no point in trying to change his stance on anything.

I didn't carry over my username (picked 'neutral' for a reason), but I'm over there with a 2015 GT. I've posted a few times that I'd have a hard time choosing between these two cars right now if I didn't already have one sitting in my garage.

I hope that's true, and I was hoping the switch was more that he wanted one. But he did spend a ton of time justifying the EcoBoost. I payed attention to him becuase the Turbo 4 thing is new to the Ponycar world, so I wanted to see what the guys who owned them were experiencing. He was very active in the forum. He seemed to love it, and was defending it like crazy, but the next thing I know, he had a 5.0! I do still suspect that the guy who approached him at the event got to him a bit. Like I said, it's one thing to be trolled on an internet forum. You almost expect it to happen (expecially if you go with a non-v8 ponycar), but to be trolled in person by a Mustang guy at a Mustang event is going too far in my opinion. And he upgraded right after that event.

I'm exaggerating a bit with the ashamed part. As far as how can I make a generalization? Why not? I said as a crowd and I'm focusing on the Versus forum. I've been on plenty of other forums. Mustang fanboys in my experience have been the worst of the bunch, on forums and in real life. You have the resident idiot and his butt buddy ToddFastback who goes along with everything he says.

I know it's not the majority on there that are talking smack and making up crap. Some people just continue to spin, and spin, and spin shit though. I'm ready for Chevy to release the damn thing and to see all the specs for it. If the car doesn't lose the weight they promised, then they are liars. Plain and simple.

As far as the idiot goes, I'm done discussing the liar and troll on here. This should probably all get cleaned up. LOL.

But what's the difference between the new Malibu's cloth and leather? Obviously if the leather adds heated/cooled/power seats, quiet a bit. I don't think the material itself is much of the difference.
