I'm not far from there. If they accept it, might wait until Private Offers start flowing on the 2016's to stack with Suncoast & USAA. That might get the base vehicle price close to Employee and after options around Supplier. Got a good salesman there to recommend?

Just gets you supplier. That's all. That's if they offer that at first though. I remember with the corvette it wasn't available for a couple of months. I can't remember if usaa was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Say one wants to go through Tru Car.
Can you really expect to get anything off of a brand new generation of car that is a hot seller? I thought Tru Car only really gave you the averages of what people are buying them for....not any sort of discount. Also, how does it work ordering a car versus buying off the lot? Someone school me.

That's correct. True car will not work for awhile on the Camaros. Mostly all dealerships use true car. However true car does not do as you say by showing just a discount on the vehicle. It only shows averages. Those averages include whatever rebates average out as well. Ordering one just means you get what you want. Usually there are rebates involved and you get whatever rebates are available when the car comes in. Not when you order it initially. But because this is a new generation there won't be any. So honestly it's just going to come down to whether you want one that's on the lot, or order one the way you want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

True Car issues you a certificate to take to the dealer. Different dealers give different discount amounts. You can also obtain this through AAA car buying program. In my experience this discount is always greater then the supplier pricing. You can also use this price as a negotiation point by under bidding this price. As far as it being a hot seller and having no discount at first that might happen for cars on the lot. If you order a car the discount should be applied as a sold ordered car cost the dealer less money. It's delivered and picked up the next day. Plus remember cars are a commodity and like such just shop around for someone that will take your offer. I also don't think the buying frenzy will be as great as when the 2010 came out.

Yes, the reason for this is because it's not just supplier pricing. It also takes into account rebates. Unless GM steps up with rebates don't expect to much off the car at all. True car won't have a price for awhile until it has averages. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Fact: USAA is 750$ off, treated as a private offer & stackable with any pricing program.
Fuzzy Memory: Some have mentioned getting it to stack with GM website private offers. Guessing: Putting both on top of supplier pricing may be possible -- but not on top of employee price. |

This site is more than just the average of what people pay. Go to AAA Car Buying and fill out the form and you will get a price certificate to take to the dealer. True this price includes rebates if any. Take the price of the car MSRP and subtract the price given. Then add the rebate. Take that number and divide by MSRP and you get the discount 8 to 9 % off MSRP before any rebates. The dealer pays a certain price for a car then can sell it for whatever amount they want. GM only sets MSRP which no one should pay. So what I intend to do is get 8 to 9% off MSRP when I order the vehicle or purchase from the lot since this is the discount for more than a year now. If they say no I will wait a month or two.

Depends on putting it on top of supplier. Also depends on what private offers are available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Or three or four..... Your right a dealer can sell it for whatever amount they want. But I guarantee you they won't sell a gen 6 Camaro at a "loss" for over a year. Not to mention I don't think that there is a 8-9% markup in a camaro itself without rebates. And..... There probably won't be any rebates for the first year either. Depending on how they sell of course. Worst case scenario your going to be looking at 6 months before anything like that happens.
