That said, I would throw money at a new Camaro "hardtop". Driving a 2 dr hardtop with all 4 windows down and the B-pillar gone is something you just have to do to appreciate the experience of hardtop. |

The new 2016 is starting to grow on me, and this new vert is everything I would have asked them to do to it.
it looks to me that this system will less prone to leaks like the early 5th gens had issue with(however I never had issue one with my top) Mechanically it looks more sound and I am liking the less pronounced "ribs" when the top is up. That being said, I STILL love the early 5th gens, I just traded up last year and have interest free payments that I got from a Chevy incentive. I know in a few years that Chevy will be calling me up wanting to buy my car and offering the 0% incentives again, so I will have plenty of time to decide if I ever want to trade up. at the moment I just cannot see me letting mine go, for one I really dont feel the need to put the top up while moving, 2-even though the new Camaro vert looks more mechanically sound in the roof mechanics, it is just THAT much more that can go wrong and fail.....lots of moving parts. even with all the short comings of the current model compared to the new one, I still have an affinity with my car. If I DO decide to get one, it will be to add to the stable....no trading in, and it will most likely go to my wife whom has been patient with me since I bought my first 2012 Camaro and then traded it in for my current vert......next new car is hers....... The new Camaro looks great, but to me it looks really busy in the front end, and I just am not into the rear end at all, however it is growing on me. It is the interior that rubs me wrong, I just cannot put my finger on it but to me that gauge pod looks humungous and ugly, the rest of the interior is nice though. I will however hold my final thoughts till I actually see this thing in person. Ive grown to love the 10s through 13s to a point of where I HAD to have a leftover 2013 last year in April, ya i like the 14s and 15s, but the early 5th gens are just classic to me IMO....

For some reason, a convertible really makes the car pop....(especially with the top down)....They look sportier and more luxurious at the same time, and make a statement that driving can still be just for fun....
I always felt that top-down convertibles in the 5thGen were the best looking car...(top up, not so much)....So far this 6thGen looks very good even with the top up....I wonder if it will be in one color only, or perhaps a couple of choices for top color.... |

Good eyes!! Went back to review and yep...right there in front us! I think the GEN5 guys will be purchasing the red, white and blue badge to put on their cars, maybe not. The new badge is small and the only place other than the steering wheel displaying 'Camaro' insignia. Peace, Brent

I think he means the colors for the roof fabric. Yes all standard colors should be available for the body. I actually think blue and brown convertible tops are just beautiful when matched to the right exterior body color. Blue with silver looks fantastic. Really pops, and looks really upscale.

At the Belle Isle reveal my wife and I instantly fell in love with the new Camaro. It was so much more than we expected that we were among the very last people to leave the tent as we tried to take in as much as we could because we knew it would be August before we saw one again.
AND NOW THIS. We are not convertible people but that may have to change. The Camaro team has hit the mother of all grand slams because the look is absolutely spectacular. And the way the top works and looks when stowed.........Ok, just take our money.
