Major Reasons I want to upgrade from a 2014 LFX to a 6th gen LT1
Thinking about upgrading to the new 2016 SS at the end of the year (from a 2014 LT RS) and I was compiling the things I like about the new model
- LT1 Engine making 455hp and 455 ft/lb of torque! -The blue Being offered at launch. -interior layout w/ functional cupholders! -ambient RGB color mixing lighting -slightly shorter wheelbase -the new dashboard -lighter weight -Made in the USA! I love it when I have a chance to buy American made. -drive mode selector -active rev matching -new control over dual mode exhaust (I just pulled the fuse in my 14 out.) The only thing I am unsure of is the exterior styling, but I have to wait til I get to see one in person. What do you like or dislike about the 6th gen? |

Im really glad they added the push start... I have been wanting that for a while and that is one of the main reasons I am upgrading. I also love the interior a lot and the new dashboard.

Gotta add that one to the list. My lady and I have it in our Nissan Sentra and sometimes it throws me off going back into my Camaro.

I love a lot about the new car. The entire interior is great, and I especially like the flat bottom steering wheel and the fact that it has has the camaro wordmark once again. Dual zone automatic climate control and push button were much needed features. Lighter weight and the lighting are also nice especially when it has 455 hp. Can't wait to see it in person.

The push button start is a big plus. The LT1 doesn't hurt either

I'm considering the jump into a Camaro because it finally has all the things a $40k car in 2015 should have.
I didn't like that previous generation automatics received a lesser engine despite costing more, then the interior sucked to boot. If the new interior materials are on point, then I will be happy with it. I'm excited about having MRC as an option and the drive selector mode. |

When they revealed the 5th Gen w/a DI V6 -- I asked at the Indy reveal why no DI V8 -- took a while, but the technology finally matches on the two.

Well I definitely know if/ when I get a 2016 it will be an SS. Ive had two V6's the LFX and LLT and I need more power in the future.

When they first announced MRC, I thought that was awesome, but it is going to be an option, and I imagine a pretty spendy option. On top of that I was reading you can experience issues with it, like a short lifespan. I'm going to pass on it personally, I need to save some money to get winter wheel setup.
