This was my first question to one of the engineers at the reveal. His short answer: They couldn't make it fit (physically) underneath. So they are using the 6-speed from the 5th gen ZL1 with active rev-matching. Basically the Corvette's 7-speed, but with one fewer gear.

two things pop in my head that bother me the most:

1: spoiler, easy fix I'm sure.

2: two-tone interior. I do not like two-tone. I absolutely love red interior (have had it on two previous cars) but I don't like the black with it. Why couldn't they do solid red seats?

First I'll say what I like:
- at least 200lbs lighter
- a more modern look
- interior quality improvement
- exterior overall look
Now for what I don't like:
- Poor Visibility: It looks like this was not improved given a review floating around saying it may even be worse than gen5, high belt line, and slim window height
- kind of tall and boxy still
- no mention of 1LE package yet!!
