Unhappy No Recaros ?

Hello everyone im new to this site and im very happy to join !
lets get to the point. GM Revealed all the seat options and colors but there is no recaro seats option , will it be available later with other trims cuz the recaros are very nice and grips tight and feels sporty what do you think. ?

Your probably not going to see the Recaros until the performance models come out.

If the OEM seats are good, have good support, and are comfortable, is there really a point to Recaros?

Recaros add side to side stability, and yes it makes a difference. I absolutely cannot see myself going back to having a Camaro without recaros. I had a 2010 and when I got my 2014, I'll never drive again unless they are a direct swap. Which is what I'll be doing when I get the new Camaro. Since I'm keeping my 2014, I'll be trying to fit my recaros in right away, but because it's a new platform and apparently the seats are already lower, I doubt I'll be able to squeeze them in.

Might have to order some 7/8ths sized seats?

Haha, probably! Either that or affix the seat to the 6th gen bracket?

That's a possibility. My son is putting Viper Gen IV seats in his Gen II GTS. The seats fit ok but the Gen IV brackets were an issue and he could not just swap them out. So, he is fabbing new ones.

You may have to do the same if you can't just put the 6th gen brackets on.

Nothing is impossible - some things just take longer than others!

I'm definitely going to be doing this then. I just hope I won't have issues with the airbags and what have you.

I'm sure they will be available in the SS maybe not right away or maybe they will and just haven't mentioned it yet.

Take a Camaro around a track and you will know why Recaro's are wanted.

And like it was stated earlier in the thread. I would expect GM to have Recaro's available with the 1LE/ZL1's whenever they become available.

I just hope the standard seat frames will fold and slide when the back seat entry lever is used. Just an extra arm/spring in the frame is needed to pop off the power rail to allow the seat to slide freely while folded.

Im not talking about the fifth gen seats, Im talking about built-from-the-ground-up sport seats that happen to be OEM

If I recall correctly, the C7 seats are great, and do well for onesy twosie track days, and the recaro seats are great for support but less comfortable for long-term driving

(any C7 owners feel free to refute that statement, I havent had a chance to check out the C7, Im just going based on reviews)

I hope so too!! Even my '88 Cavalier had this feature and I was surprised to find that my '00 Z28 does not. It seems like it would be so cheap and easy to incorporate this.
