looks a lot 'harder' to work on for DIYer's than the 5th Gen -- won't know for sure until seeing one up-close...

You might be surprised at the results if we could get our hands on just an intake tube. Much cheaper and makes better power in some instances. It's not widely popular for obvious reasons (hurts business)but even on the older generation 5.3 Chevy trucks the best combo was stock airbox and aftermarket tube.
Not saying it would apply in this application but it's something to think about. The possibility of more power for cheaper is always a plus. Sadly I'm guessing no companies will offer the option or give it a fair shake with testing ... I believe air aid learned their lesson from before. I don't see a tube only option for the new trucks yet.... Not as much $ to be made only selling a tube when u can charge well over 300 for an entire system. Long story short on some applications tube only makes the most horsepower and torque while being a quarter of the price. A no brainer if they would make one and it was effective in this application. If your just going for the look of an entire CAI that's cool as well. |

Looks like there is a good three inches to the cowl and the LT4 was said to be a couple inches taller in the Stingray.

This was a manual tranny car right? I was hoping to see a separate clutch reservoir but doesn't look like they corrected that mistake.
