Remember what really made the '57 Chevy? It was the '58 Chevy!

Soa tune will get all that power, and then some of the Lt motor. Relax people, this new gen6 is gonna be a great ALL AROUND car. Muscle, and finesse.

You don't get an entirely new platform, exterior, interior and drive train in a mid cycle enhancement. The Mustang got a new 5.0. That's hardly the same as this car.

I'm sick of them saying the "new" "6th" Generation. That doesn't look new at all. It's basically the same with a few styling cues. The differences in the 2010-2013 to the 2014-2015 were more noticeable to me. That's not a new generation. That's about a Gen 5.25.

The shit people complain about...

I'm convinced GM could build a unicorn and people would still bitch about everything.

It doesn't matter what GM rates the LT1 at in the Camaro. It's the same motor as the Corvette.

Let's just wait until tomorrow for the official specs, folks.
They don't underrate it anymore. The engine is SAE rated for the car. The numbers SAE says are what it makes. The losses are usually blamed on a less free flowing exhaust but with the tubular shorties, the numbers should be as good if not better than the Corvette.

Found this over at the mustang6g forum. http://jalopnik.com/source-2016-cama...o-f-1704710074 Gives some speculation on hp and torque numbers. Sorry if it is a repost.

we can see what it generally looks like, but remember those aren't great pictures. You're not seeing all the lines in the best detail.

This. The difference between the LS3 in the Camaro and C6 was 4hp. That's not pulling tuning either. That's an exhaust difference.

It's on a completely brand new platform with completely new body work and completely new powertrains. It's a new generation. Live with it.
