Hidden Trailer Hitch on the 2014 anyone?
Need to tow my motorcycle. Need a hidden one and don't want to cut the diffuser. I have the NPP exhaust, don't know if that makes any difference.

Use a Hidden Hitch brand hitch. I did not have NPP when installed, but have subsequently installed a Doug Thorley catback system with no problems. I had my hitch professionally installed for a warranty on the wiring work. Capture the pic below and zoom in for detail. I forgot to put the cap back on the the wiring pigtail. It would normally be harder to spot.

Also, no mod of the diffuser needed. Also, be prepared for the prissy crowd that tells you that putting a hitch on a Camaro is some kind of sacrilege. Four hundred horsepower is plenty for towing a three hundred pound utility trailer plus a four hundred fifty pound sport bike.

It's not usually a case of having enough power for towing. It's usually a matter of having good enough brakes to stop the extra weight moving forward as well as the structural integrity of the subframe you are attaching the hitch to. All that extra weight that is shifting directions is putting a lot more stress than normal onto the rear subframe at those attachment points. That's where you need to worry about towing ratings of a specific vehicle.

An awful lot of guys use small trailers to haul tires and tools to the track. For most working stiffs, maintaining a 1 ton pickup and a car trailer as accessories to a fun car just isn't feasible.
If a 'vette can do it, your Camaro can do it! |

Talked to Al O. about this. 200 pound tongue weight and 1000 pound total tow weight and we're good. Go over that and things go south fast.
