I don't want to see another ABM because I love having a rare color. If there were more ABM's then mine wouldn't stand out as much and I'm kinda hooked on the attention. lol
Agreed! If you're going to make the color, make it available across the board! The special editions should be about features (engines, trims, equipment options, etc.) not so much about colors.

I think chevy should introduce 'Paint to Sample' similiar to what Porsche does I would be ok with spending 5k on a unique color.

Is it just me or are the colors for the 2015 just too bland. 2 reds and only dark blue... where's the greens and bright blues and the rest... honestly holding me back from a new purchase

I really like the Aqua Blue Metallic. It would be nice if Chevy offered a wider selection of colors. It's not that the ones they have are bland, there just aren't enough of them.

Orange! And an actual orange looking orange, not one of those mostly-red-it's-kind-of-orange-I-guess oranges. So yes, hugger orange or something similar, but...orange!

I doubt they'll do it, but they do need to liven up their color selection. I like basic black, but there are a lot of enthusiasts (especially the younger ones) who love the bright colors which is fine. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing some matte finishes which I know are expensive but look really good in certain colors.

I think it would be cool to see matte, satin, and pearl finishes. If I could get a black car with a purple pearl, I would much rather do that then actually have a purple car.
For me, it mostly depends on what the color looks like in person. If it's a striking color with a metallic finish to really make it stand out, then I generally like it. If it's like what Chevy mostly offers now, which is more subdued hues of bright colors, then I'm generally not quite as excited about them. My boss's ATS is metallic black, but the paint is so metallic that it doesn't look like just another black car. In my opinion, any color can be interesting and exciting, it just depends on the hue and finish used. |
