Just ran across this.. Looks like some more photos, but mostly heavily camo and far away. He says there were 10 Camaros in the group.

wheels look good from what I can tell. I'd rather have current 1le style wheels though.
I think it's a thermocouple for temperature measurement.

T-tops just won't happen. Too hard to pass roof crush. The only help would be that I believe convertibles now have to pass the side impact pole test just like a coupe or sedan. The government has always classified T-tops as a coupe so the standards are more rigorous than a convertible. A targa is considered in the same class as a convertible, which is why we still have that on the Corvette.

It's the rear side window, same shape as on the current convertible Camaro. Easy to see throught the opening in the Camo the shape of the window.

What I think I see in the closeup of the interior are round Guage pods in front of the driver similar to the 67-68 Camaro.

I did not know that a targa was classified that way. Very interesting! Learn somethin new every day!

Interesting, the same white Mustang appears to be traveling with the Camaros.

T-Tops didn't work out too well back in the 80's when the Camaro/Firebirds had them. They usually squeaked, leaked, and rattled. It would be great for this Camaro to have a Targa top, but as I said in my earlier post, I don't believe the trunk is wide enough to store it. Interesting to know that the Targa is classified as a vert.

What is up with all the silver on the steering wheel? Any other steering wheel like that on another GM car?

the gages look like they are gonna be more conventional round gages, and positioned more like conventional gages, instead of the pod look of the current generation camaro........

That was 35 years ago. I'm pretty sure engineers today can make a T-Top that doesn't leak, squeak, or rattle. Could be a Targa. Maybe that heavy padding is covering something else..

the 3rd gens had very flexible bodies and i can verify the squeaks and rattles, although i didn't have one leak. The 4thgen was much stiffer. when i sold mine with 55k miles it never had rattled or squeaked.
t-tops are just out of style now. personally i don't even know why they bother with the targa on the Corvette because i can probably count on one hand the amount of time's i've seen someone with their targa roof out.

I'm 25 and would love to have a t-top camaro. A targa wouldn't look good imo.

Having owned both 3rd and 4th gen T-top Camaros I totally agree. The fourth gen was light years ahead of the 3rd and the fifth isn't even comparable to the fourth as far as ride quality and body stiffness. Can't imagine how great the sixth will be.

Umm they are pretty Mich the exact same car. You just had a newer version with less miles that's all. The vast majority of leaks was because the owner didn't properly maintain the seals.
