Looks like the 6th gen will have a permanent stiffy!

I guess they're not ready to show their engine(s) card

It's all good, I like the header, it says there's gonna be a nastay V8!

I'm honestly a little disappointed because it wasn't what I was expecting.. I was thinking they would display the image in full (which is what they did) but would include information on it... What's new, Why the change/addition.. etc..

I know what a header looks like so that's not much of an enticement to want to see the rest..

Now we all know the structure on there is the dashboard/instrument panel bracing and since most of the bracing is showing, what can they include more? If not text, then perhaps they will display the paneling itself since we are looking at the bracing structure.. Thinking this, I would think since we're pretty much seen most of the car and can figure out what's coming, the interior is what no one can been able to see..

IF they are going to display much more detail to the dashboard/instrument panel and seeing how they already swapped pics, I wouldn't put it past them to swap again.

Whatever the case may be, April 30th looks like we will finally get to see more ACTUAL detail of the exterior body panels if they are to expand the rear wing :-)

But nowhere does it state WHICH ENGINE that exhaust manifold is for (LT1, LT4, etc). Unless it's their way of reassuring us a V8 will be available in one model or another?

Same here. Doesn't look like they're going to show us much of anything prior to the reveal. I'm not looking forward to the other teaser pics nearly as much now if there's no real information to go with it.

That's a Tri-Y shorty manifold. That's HUGE for a production V8. Most V8s come with cast-iron JUNK. Previously this was only offered on the $75K Z/28. For a production emissions passing car that's HUGE!

I imagine there's supporting stories to come, albeit vague most likely, but it's interesting to see what folks see just from a photo.

I've been away from the body business for a long time, but I believe it's unusual to see a chassis stiffener in that position. Imagine that is stiffening the chassis in the same way a shock tower brace does it. Lots of torsional rigidity.
