Grill vents are different on these, last camo cars we saw had honeycomb grill. No hood vent nostrils (or the camp is just covering them this time. Interesting the entire front end of the one car is extra camo'd.

Those have to be old pics as I see green grass. Seems Michigan would be full of the white stuff now.

for both the standard Camaro and the ZL1, the convertibles were not available until the second year. 2011 for the Camaro convertible, 2013 for he ZL1 convertible.

I expect the same for the new 6th Gen.

I think GM has smartened up and will release them for the same model year. (From low to SS model in the convertible). Time will tell.

Does anyone feel the black wheels indicate a performance model?

I don't think we saw any 5th gen convertibles out testing until sometime early in 2010 though. This is early enough to expect they have been developed at the same time as the coupe versions.

Don't think you can compare the launch of the 6th gen to that of the 5th gen in regards to model line up. In 09 GM was still in murky waters, and no one really anticipated the re launch of the camaro to be as successful as it was. After the first couple years of strong sales is when we saw the performance models. Fast forward to 2016 the camaro is re established as the best selling sports car in the US, GM has no reason to not stay competitive and launch at least a track variety 1le right from the get go.
