Resonated x pipe on verts
Any truth that one can not be added to verts because of the under bracing on the car. I read it somewhere but wasn't sure if it's true or not.

I mean, this is what you have to deal with:
I can imagine that is a pretty tight space to fit some resonators in.

American Racing makes a brace for under the car that allows
additional room if needed. I believe the brace is right around $500 though. |

Some have done it, I think magnaflow does not list theirs for convertible applications. I didn't put one on by the recommendation of my exhaust shop. They said it could hit the brace under some conditions. I asked about taking some metal and making a spacer and they said that would also work. You should not need more than 1/2" more clearance.

Go to Solo, theirs fit fine. You can get either the whole catback or just the resonated x pipe. The quality, price & service is great ! Have their system on my vert since I took delivery in 2011.

I recently had the MRT v2 axle backs installed. I had also bought a Magna flow resonated x pipe, but it did not fit due to the bracing. It was close, only needed like another 1/8 inch more space. I have the v6, not sure if it fits in the v8 convertible or not though.

That's good to see because I bought the pipe already. Hoping to have it installed in the next few weeks when the weather breaks.
