Well, unfortunately I wanted to get a college education. Problem is that unlike most places in the world.. College isn't free.

At least I can look forward to the possibility of a job after December.. I think.

Update: My brother just floated me the money needed to pay off the difference. I owe this bastard my planned Camaro purchase post grad. He has 2 years left and needs a car.. I need my college degree. I think it works out fine.

Problem is he can't drive stick. Oh well guess 'I'm' getting an automatic.

I had a friend get kicked out of Ohio State because he chose to spend money on school instead of food. He had his pellet gun and an endless supply of squirrels on campus. Somebody took offense at his diet and they booted him. Guess what Zabo? He became an aircraft mechanic. Now laid off of course

Fortunately for me, I live off campus. Unfortunately, I don't have a supply of squirrels or a pellet gun. :/ But with money secure, I can at least graduate and hope to land a job as an A/P.

If not I can always join the Nascar circuit as a pit mechanic.

You could always move to a little more southerly location. US Army is starting to move some flight test operations here and I think they're going to need maintenance personell...

That they did. And you aren't kidding when they say that AP/aviation jobs are moving down south. I think the move to contractor maintenance personell is just because it's cheaper for the Airforce and Army. Alot of my instructors did it back in the 70s and 80s and it's those guys that are also retiring so it's another reason why so many positions are opening up.

Also, I think with the move to 3rd party ops for the airlines and whatnot also has spawned the increase in jobs down there, plus the environment is airplane friendly. So I could be moving south sooner or later..

Sucks though.. I'm hitting it off with this one girl and now I'm probably going to end up breaking it off after being dragged a thousand miles away. Oh well. I'll always have Camaro5. I really appreciate the support after the rant, guys. It's been a rough week or so after I found out what was going on.
