I think ford would have a hard time pricing a Fusion ST

With the focus ST
focus RS
fusion titanium
taurus SHO..

where would it land? shy of an SHO?

thats a lot of money for an automatic ST

I wonder if it's all in the ergonomics? Because when you compare the Focus to your Camaro it has +.9" headroom, -1.3" shoulder room, and only -.5" legroom. I couldn't find any specs for Camaro's hiproom, so maybe that's where the major difference shows up.

Hard to tell. With Fiesta, ST is $2630's more than Titanium trim. With Focus ST is only $50 more than Titanium. Fusion Titanium is just over $30k and SHO is just over $40k. So, perhaps a starting MSRP of $32.5k would work because with ST3 on Focus being $4500, that would leave a Fusion ST3 still a couple grand under a MSRP SHO.

So, Ford Performance Group has promised something like 12-15 New or revised performance vehicles for Ford by 2020. I can think of the following:

1. '16+ GT350(R)
2. '17+ GT500
3. '16+ Raptor
4. Revised Focus ST
5. Revised Fiesta ST
6. '17+ Focus RS
7. '16+ GT

That leaves 5 to 8 more vehicles...any ideas?

Fusion ST?
Another Mustang variant, EBv6 Mach 1?
A New Lightning?
Maybe a kick off to the rumoured Lincoln performance line, RedLabel?

What would you guys like to see, maybe in hopes of seeing GM produce competing model types? Or up the ante on models that new Fords would compete with?
It's about damn time we got a new Lightning. Those were my favorite trucks back when I was in high school. I'd love to see a new T-bird too, provided Ford doesn't put a Power Wheels engine in it like they did last time.

I'm pretty sure we're going to see a Mach 1 variant this generation (although I'm not sure how a Shaker hood would look on the current gen). However, I think it will be an option package rather than an independent model. Maybe something to compete with the Scat Pack. Hopefully it will look something like this:

Not many actually had the shaker when looking at all of them produced, we know all the 03/04s had them, it was an option on the 69/70 cars, but on the 71-78s it was not available.

Let me guess
GT
GT350R
GT500
GT350
Focus RS
Focus ST
Fiesta ST
Mustang Mach 1
Thunderbird (based off of Fusion AWD platform)
Lincoln Mark IX
Lightning
C-Max 900V ( Ok, I ran out of ideas, but an electric car with a 900 volt battery pack would scoot)

Had GM allowed Hummer to build a vehicle like the Ford Raptor and the Jeep Wrangler. We would still have Hummer around today. Sad.

That's weird. My dad is about 6'2" probably 260 and he fits just fine in my 12 Focus. Friend of mine who is 6'3" maybe 200 had a focus and fit in it just fine. You must have some super broad shoulders

Doubtful, the division wasn't very profitable and high performance models tend to be even less profitable. At least that's the reason they gave for closing up the Hummer shop.

True, but I figured Ford would want something to compete with Dodge's Shaker models.

Reminds me of my son's 2014 WRX Subaru for sure....Very nice cars for sure. If you've never driven one of these AWD Turbo cars, you should...lol...They haul ass, are well built and very fun to drive.

Ford should do well with these...Not sure, but I think Subaru quit making the wagon type WRX....Good to see Ford do this.
