1LE vs 2015 GT PP

So now that the Mustang is supposed to be a better handling car, do you think the GT PP will match or beat the 1LE around a track?

Personally, I think the GT PP will be slightly slower due to the staggered tire set up but it will be closer than the previous GT Track Pack vs 1LE.

I think 1le will still have the edge -

...
On the mustang 6g site someone was complaining about how it was not apples to apples because the 1le has wider tires - what the hell lol

From all I have been reading I think the 1LE will still have the edge on a road track. The GT records a lower cornering force and it has been commented that the Mustang still feels a little sloppy when you push it. Ford added a bunch of braces, but you cant beat a naturally stiff chassis with braces. And as mentioned, the 1LE still has bigger tires. Ford gives the PP 6 piston Brembos. The Ford brakes now should hold up better over time than the 4 piston Brembos on a heavier car. The reviews say the Mustang shifting is improved, so the Camaro may lose its advantage here. Ford says the PP can keep up with a Boss 302, so the 1LE may still have an advantage, but Ford is closing the gap. It could be very close given the Mustangs better power to weight ratio.

In a drag race this is still the pecking order:
Boss 302 > GT PP > SS 1LE

I still wouldn't mind a Boss in my Garage next to my 1LE.

sounds like the 1LE will still be the winner.
