2013 Hot Wheels Edition for sale
Hi everyone,
Back when I started looking at buying my Camaro, The dealership had a 2013 HW edition for sale but wanted 45,000 for it. Wife said "NO" too much $$$. Fast forward later and she said if I wanted it, go get it. I go down and find that it had a "NOT FOR SALE" sign on the dash.. So I settle on my 2014 RRM 2LT RS. I have had mine for a year now, And now I was told by the General Manager that the car is now for sale. This car is almost 2 years old but still brand new, What would be a fair price for this car, ? I am thinking of trading mine in and buying the HW. Edition but don't know what a fair price would be. Any help would be great. Thanks |

If you are the type of person that must have what they want...you will constantly be researching and chomping at the bit to get it...then just do it!
Check out cars.com and see if you can locate some prices in your area...

Its a HW edition, nice, but not super rare. It really is a brand new leftover 2 year old car. Offer to pay bottom line invoice minus the closeout allowance. I got a buddy of mine one when they first came out for dealer invoice so they certainly aren't worth a premium.

Big time depreciation factor. It may be new but it's still a 2 years old car.
Go to sell it in a year and you will get killed $$$$ wise.

2 years worth of "lot rot" should bring the price down substantially. I wouldn't pay more than the equivalent of the used value.

I've seen a few 2013 SS models still "new" leftover, guess it's the same thing for those as well, on cars.com they are asking $38-$39k I would imagine someone could get one for a quite a bit less if they are really looking to get it off their lot.

Kinetic Blue is the best Camaro color IMO
Get a good trade in and negotiate a fair price that you feel comfortable with. The dealer seems eager to sell the car, but why was it on hold for so long? |

The HW's car are nice you will love it. Now with that being said the car is 2 years old no matter if it's new or used. The car was stickered at $45k with it being 2 years old I would pay NO more than $39k out the door (tax, tag, fees, ect...). Good luck just remember the HW's cars have 21" rims so you will pay a pretty penny for the replacement tires (the OEM Pzeros in 21's will run you from tire rack $2128 + shipping)

I know what you mean, they are super sharp but the value will really fall. if you don't care about the hit and want to keep it go for it.

at a minimum, I think you want 10% off MSRP + all rebates. this should be around the GM employee price. there were still some of these around last month on cars.com and discounted fairly well.
I had a Hot Wheels edition offered to me for 15% off MSRP + all rebates back in January. But got a better deal on my Dusk. |

This is a collector car. I have seen them go for over 50K just 2 years old and under 2K miles. I bought mine for 38K and 14K miles. It is just like brand new. Not a mark anywhere. If you are still looking...The cheapest one I have seen currently on the market is on Tucson craigslist. SS manual with like 28K miles. selling at 28K. That is a great deal. VERY few of these in the world which will drive up prices as some are destroyed and abused. Only 354 in the world for the SS Man tran. They will NOT depreciate unless worn out.

It is a very special car...Only car EVER made with a toy company. Only Camaro with 21" wheels EVER. (Largest on any Camaro from factory). Has ZL1 spoiler, The paint is amazing and I have not seen any other Camaro with that electric metallic blue. Has the blue ghost flames. Unique, but kinda cheap. Daily driver's will drop in price like any other SS, but with so few made, and so much originality, it's destined to be in the collector car category.
