As for my wknd plans.. mmm nothing this wknd.. today I worked on the car some more. Plastidipped the steering wheel bezel and speedo/tacho bezel to get rid of the silver.. kinda.. can't do the ac vents. Rest tom since I work Sunday anyways

By the way I almost gave up on the speedo/ tach bezel cuz I was worried about ruining the dash. Removal is actually easy. So glad I didn't quit

Same when I did mine, struggle at first and then you realize it's super easy

Just got back from my first auto cross, was super fun! I wasn't the fastest guy there but I wasn't the slowest either

The field consisted of 2 C4 Vettes, 1 C5 Vette, a 2SS 1LE, a 1SS, a 4th Gen v8 (wife to the 1LE), a race prepped Golf R32, a race prepped Mini, FRS, S14 240sx, Honda Civic SI, and 3 Miata's, Mazda 3 hatch, Civic CRX, basic Golf, 95 Mustang GT, and a few other cars I cannot remember lol

The 2 C4 Vettes were battling around the 77-79 second mark
The FRS best time was a 88.7
The 1LE's best time was an 88.9

I came in at a 92.2 which isn't bad. Just as I got the hang of the course too! I think I could have shaved 2 seconds off. We only had 4 runs.

Overall I had a crap load of fun!

Sounds like some fun! I want to do some autocross this year. I'm rather sad that it appears I will not get my headers, front sways & tune in time for our club's Spring Fling drag race event.

I did get to go out for a nice Cruise on some curvy back roads today. Hubby actually took out his Camaro too for once. It was the first nice drive I got to take since removing the engine insulation and I did notice I heard the engine more. I was not thinking about it at first & was really listening in as I knew something sounded different & was thinking maybe something was wrong. Then it dawned on me what it was that was different. It was not bad though, just different. Not really loud or anything, I just heard things that maybe were more muffled before. I like it!
