Trifecta got back to me and said the current tune looked good after I told them no leak was detected. I'm not sure how to proceed? Just re-flash my old tune then?

Long story short: Got headers, asked for a new tune to optimize for headers, they said I had a large exhaust leak, found nothing, now everything is ok, the tune "looks fine" no reason to re-tune?

I just want to make sure my tune accounts for the new headers. I heard somewhere the tune really just changes air to fuel ratio engine wise (i.e. not including shift firmness, etc). If so, then I could see why a new tune would not be necessary as they have already given me an optimal ratio and the computer will adjust the necessary fuel needed to maintain the ratio right?

How long were the headers on before you data logged? If it wasn't that long that "leak" they said you had prob wasn't a leak it was just the computer still trying to adjust in the increased air flow from the headers. That is the only thing I can think of.

Well that's good news but like you said sucks for the other dude. Personally I'm glad I didn't get the trifecta tune when I almost did a few years back.

I admit, the IPF tune is tempting and so is the upcoming HP tuners tune, but this was my first less than great experience with them and it was due to a mix up. So overall, Trifecta has treated me pretty well.

When HP comes out I think I may go with that since I can then get a true dyno tune from a local shop that uses HP.

They said within the first quarter of this year so maybe within a month? I know a thread was started about it, here is a link.
