I will never, ever utter the combination of syllables that standing alone, sounds like Chally, Cammy, Maro, or even 'Stang... or any of the other truncations that simply sound contrived. Can I explain WHY those sound gratuitous, but 'Vette and Lambo are somehow acceptable? No, I can't, but that's just how it is!

I never refer to my car as a Lambo and frown upon those that do.
