Sproles rarely runs it. They use Ingram and Thomas for that.

wasn't quite sure where to post this question at considering it falls into both the FI and Transmission sections, but thought i'd ask here to start. Has anyone with the ay6(m6) boosted their motor and had issues with the transmission seeing as how it rated for 340 lbs/ft TQ and the IPF supercharger kits rates at 360 lbs/ft TQ not including any other performance parts. If so what kind of problems are you having and maybe what have you done to either fix the problem or prevent it?

Good question, imo I would play it safe and get a better clutch, flywheel, etc. When I did a turbo swap on my cobalt SS the clutch held for one week and started to slip lol once I upgraded the whole clutch I never had any tranny issues. FYI if you upgrade the clutch do it right the first time. I don't know about rwd but doing a clutch job on a fwd car suuuucks. I did the clutch, flywheel, bolts, clutch master Cylinder, n' all that so I would never have to open it again. That's just me tho.

The only problems I've heard from boosted v6s and the trans is that you might or might not need a better clutch to handle the power. Some have needed it while others haven't. Other than that, I've yet to hear of a case where the trans hasn't been able to take the power.

ok thanks, so i can find aftermarket clutches and flywheels pretty easy, but what about the new master cylinder. where are good places to look for them or is it possible to take one from an SS and would that even work?
