I was going to wait and pick up a console next year, maybe around spring or summer.
I find out last night my nieces want a xbox one for christmas! I told them pre-orders were sold out and I wasn't fighting any Black Friday sales. What do you think my chances are going to be to pick up a unit at regular (non ebay) price before Christmas?

I'm selilng my launch day consoles (1 each) for $100 over the msrp price. I am planning on buying a console later next year, but I pre-ordered one of each for the hell of it. I still don't know which of the two I'll end up with. If you're interested Jay, let me know.

Just made a post about it too. Good luck!
As for the topic at hand, the graphics processor for PS4 is going to have more power it seems. Does that mean for 3d blu ray, there will be a noticeable difference on large tv's? I plan on using my 65" 3d flat panel for gaming on the new consoles. |

There's a few successfully ended auctions that ended as much as 5k a few months ago.
I notice a lot of foreigners buying electronics at outrageous prices vs The regular US buyer.

Yup, you can buy somebody elses preorder on ebay, but it will cost you. I paid $700 the other day.
Like you said, sold out everywhere and probably won't be in stores until 2014 with exception of a few on release day. I would hate to wait in one of those lines.
