I want the autosource zl1 bumper. It'll probably be my next big mod but paint matching is holding me back. Anyone have problems with matching metallic paint?

![]() I totally forgot you had a wreck and had to have paint work done. Did you just let the dealer have at it or did you go to a shop? |

And I've also had my rear bumper painted by a different dealer due to another hit and run and it matches great too. Also had my spoiler painted by a small shop and it matches perfect. I think the difficulty of matching metallic paint is kind of like the back pressure thing. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

Only reason I ask is because I saw a thread about the guy who got the zl1 bumper and it wasn't even close. Looked almost more blue than gray. Then the rpi pre painted option picture isn't even close either. They say its cuz of how the "light hits the car" but its so bad that it wouldn't help

I'm thr exact same way. I'm debating the ss bumper with a splitter or the zl1 bumper. Only reason I'm leaning towards zl1 is it doesn't have a mailslot and I like that its lower. It could definitely chane though. I definitely want the zl1 diffuser though

When I was getting my MRTs I was pretty close to ordering the GFX version and just doing a quad tip setup but the price of the NPP diffuser was insane then and the ZL1 one was like untouchable so I just went the standard route. Kind of glad I did actually

No I do it's just that I feel like everyone is doing them so it's different to leave the single tips now
I rather put the 250 dollars it would cost with the NPP diffuser, tips, and welding to use for the MGW shifter. Speaking of which I have been debating what my next mod will be after I save for the rims I'm getting. Been thinking ZL1 sides and rock guards but have also been contemplating the MGW short throw. I'm leaning to just do the ZL1 sides to finish my aesthetic mods |

I'd do the ZL1 sides. Here's why I suggest that. Also, please don't take offense to this . You barely drive the car and don't race it much if not ever so yes a short throw is a great mod to have in a manual car but you can probably live without it for a little more time. Buy the ZL1 sides, finish the cosmetics and then buy the short throw.
