I don't know if there is already a thread about this or not but what are some of your experiences with cops in your cars?

Well i was on my way to dinner and i made a wrong turn down a 4 lane road. long striaght 4 lane road you would think would be at least 35mph, but nope it was 25, got tagged going 44 in a 25. This was my first time getting pulled over and i was so nervous. Cop comes up to the car and i explained to him how i dont know the area and thought it was 35, he comes back and says " you know i cant believe this is your first time getting pulled over in this car, i have a lot of respect that you can handle the car, and you really seam like a good kid, so I'm gonna let you go with a warning." was so pumped... that is all.

I got pulled over doing 87 in a 55. The cops were doing a sting on route 21 north in Passaic, NJ. I told him that I just got out the Navy, and that the anticipation for coming back home overwhelmed me. He looked at my license, registration, insurance, and DD14. He let me go. Told me to keep it in check. LOL

Got a ticket 6 hours into having my camaro LOL... Was midnight, on a side street in a neighborhood and slowed down for a stop sign, no one around so didn't come to a complete stop and proceeded. Cop blacked out sitting down the street. Got the ticket. Still kind of sour I wasted my driving school ticket on not stopping at a stop sign instead of speeding :P (must have rolled through that stop sign 1000 times before in my Honda accord)

haven't had a ticket in about 12 years. it's really not that hard. don't do something that will make you stand out and they won't bother you.

Wouldn't that be a DD214?

I don't have any pull-over stories, but I know Fla904 does!

Had a cop in a Camaro on the side of I-10 flash his lights at me as I was driving home at 1 or 2 in the morning after work one time. He didn't come after me though, maybe he thought it wasn't worth it since I would have been able to do the defensive driving to get out of it (was less than 25 over). Haven't actually been pulled over yet

Once so far. I was coasting down a hill at about 75 or so in a 55. A CHP was sitting there. He pulle me over and chatted about the car and my custom plate. I was real nice to him. I only got a warning. Left happy

I coach high school baseball on the side and im flying down to practice and i come up to a closed intersection because of a head on collision. All the drivers were on there way to the hospital the cops and fire fighters were just waiting for a tow truck to come clean up the cars and the glass. The officer was waving cars through one by one and then he points at me and tells me to pull down one of the closed streets. Im sitting over here thinking im gonna get a ticket for something stupid like blacked out taillights or tinted windows. The guys come up to the window and say I couldnt let you go by without checking out this car hahaha It was awesome

I just took a trip to SC from PA and did not want to take my camaro (black tints) ...... I got a reckless driving charge in VA (78mph in 55mph zone in a stupid Mazda rental! :-(

Back in 1996 / 1997, a little after 2:00 am, in my '79 Z/28 (388 Stroker / Methanol injection, headers to empty mufflers dumping under the seats), I see a white Mustang in front of me on Hwy 90 in Houston, so, naturally, I quickly catch up to him and throw it down into 2nd to let him know I was there... He looks over just as I notice the huge Texas Highway Patrol badge on the door... and just started laughing at me as I throw it in 3rd and get off the gas.

No ticket, no lights, he just laughed at me. At least he had a sense of humor (unlike many other encounters in the same car) LOL
